my interpretation of Nethyr religion, or Kyy'licks sect, and curses. the way I see it, Nethyr the entity, is the creator of Nethyr the realm, and is the god of elementals and elemental energy. As such, I interpret that when he does appear or communicate to his worshipers, he seldom takes on a physical form, preferring to make himself known as a presence in places of elemental power. the eye of a hurricane, a bellowing voice on the crashing waves, and silhouettes in a cavern of refracting crystals are some examples of his presence. on the off chance Nether does appear in a physical form, it is considered by some of his worshippers that he is debasing himself for a purpose and so much fear and respect is given when he does appear in physical form. which also explains the couple of times kyy'lick used "Nethyr's [insert body part]" as a curse.
