Physical Description

Short and stocky, much like many of the Dwarves. She has a strong physique, curvey and centred.

Facial Features

*Defined cheekbones makes her face very angular and sharp
*Large, curvy and soft feminin lips
*Peircing steel grey/blue eyes

Identifying Characteristics

*A scar that runs down from the right hand side of her forhead, down across her eye and almost to her chin.
*On her back she has a dwarven related tattoo that covers the majority of it. The tattoo is a mix of sigils from her clan, mixed with celtic knots.
*Like her tribes ancestors, she wears her thick black hair down either side of her body, clenched between iron circulates to keep it gathers. The circulates are enscribed with the sigil or her clan and her defining personlity. Strength and Hearth. Also adorning her hair is several tight braids of grey/white hair that intertwines with her clasps bounds.

Mentality

Personal history

Among other Mountain Dwarves, Oxwyn may be referred to as Huddrok Oxa, or Huddrok do Brehznanvil (Huddrok Oxa being a Dwarfish phrase meaning 'an axehead without a handle', used as a name for Dwarves who wander from, or leave, their clans. Many Dwarves who remain with their own kind see Huddrok Oxa as unreliable or untrustworthy). Huddrok do Brezhnanvil translates to common as literally 'The one without a handle from the Brawnanvil clan'.
 
Oxwyn left to go make a name for herself. If she was to return back to the clan with great tales of victory and vast knowledge of her time under the sky she would help the clan prosper.
Most of this stemmed from the fact her father was a war hero from days gone past. He lost his arm helping to protect the clan. Her mother has lost her eye fighting alongside her father. Her oldest brother is next in line to run the clan as he too earnt his titles from victories in battle. Her other 2 brothers also made name for themselves in strategy and politics. Oxwyn, being the youngest, had a lot to live up to as the rest of her family were well known for their valor.
 
Unfortunately many years of roaming as a nomad, from job to job, she found nothing of worth to take back home.
When she eventually joined the army, she thought that was her calling. She'd aim to progress to a power of strategic analysis and command her own unit. Post war she lost this dream as she attempted to find work related to her rank, and the events that unfolded meant she had to start again fresh.
 
Now she has thrown down her shield and rank in the hopes to make the world better for those who can not fight for themselves. All around her, the world is corrupt with figures in power exploiting those around them. She wants to leave this world a better place than how she found it.
And so begins her story of redemption and meaning to existence.

Education

Spent most her childhood learning how to fight, much like her brothers had. Prowess with a Hammer is her favoured weapon, but skill in the art of sword has been carved in her bones.
Always with a shield to protect those around her. She adorns herself with Family Clan made weapons and armour as much as possible. She wears these with pride.
She was educated in politic and strategy from her brothers.
 
Ukritz-di-Oxar(Sharpening of the Axes)- Oxwyn decided to go to the clan of Dwarf brewers, to learn the skill of fine brewing.

Employment

Oxwyns Travels (Backstory)
Left home at 100 years of age.
Last 60 years:
Up to year 10: odd jobs, casual training and wandering.
Years 10- 25: mercenary work- mainly alone, sometimes in teams. Small stuff Eventually these events of Mercenary work. Small things like escorting, getting rid of vermin, low level tasks. Only staying in 1 area for 5 years at a time.
Years 25-30: hired permanently as private guard to a local business owner.
Years 30-40: Hired as town guard. Higher leveled investigating, strategic planning and prevention.
Around year 40: an anonymous tip had Oxwyn lead a small group of towns guard to group of miscreants hiding out. This tip was false and it turned out to be something much more than the team could deal with leading to the death and capture of a fair few of the guards (who left this tip, why and who these people were are unknown). Oxwyn spent many months chained up in a dark underground lair, made to fight for survival, sport and entertainment along with others taken and beasts. This is when she gained her scar. She befriended another captive and eventually placed in a fight against a creature. Her friend turned on her to try and survive. This happened to be the same day Queens Guard eventually discovered and liberated them. The Sergeant in charge of the operation Sergeant Aliena Strichers, Oxwyn was enamored by. Love at first site never crossed her mind till this moment. She became fascinated by this female Sergeant on the journey back to town and on the spot signed herself up to the army. From that event she found what she was looking for. A purpose, to protect others like she was protected.
From year 41 to 59: Training under army. Casual duties. Gaining in rank just before the battle(Lieutenant).
She spent 15 years during this time hoping to run back into Sergeant Aliena, to thank her, to tell her Oxwyns story...But fate never had the 2 meet.

Accomplishments & Achievements

From the beginning of Campaign:
*Killing blow on the creatures that were out to Venchenso's life. Vencheso was then successful taken back to town for punishment.
*Being used as a monstrosities ball (Dwarf Ball) to protect her more squishy party members from being hit.
*Plunged her arms into a vat of lava in order to appease a god, to be granted the Shield of Aakros.
*Using said shield to revive her comrades who were knocked unconscious on several occasions.
*Rescuing a baby and Alice, a young girl who was to be murdered for helping the town.
*Dealing the 2 final blow on Ivo Sterngrip's life. "You do not bend to the human hubris. If war couldn't change you, then nothing will"
*In a dream one night, had to fight against what can only be assumed as Aakros. Despite loosing the fight, Oxwyn managed to throw the god off by punching him in the face.
*Successfully negotiating with Ragnir Thunderhelm. This lead to the use of the Underways to escape from the Principality of Stybrogia into the Principality of Ustenora.
*Destroying an Intellect Devourer, but not before it did a number over on a party member.
*Learnt to Dance with the help from all the team, Took 3 days mind you.
*Helping rescue Pinna of Gresvad, and the last heir of Berengard.

Failures & Embarrassments

From the begining of Campain:
*Unintentionally getting involved in bar fights where Queens and Goddly folk wish to desk it out.
*Lying to Meecha and other Queen guards in order to cover for Markus post hyste. This could be seen as an achievement if it wasn't for the fact Oxwyn hates lying.
*Not being able to help fight in the extra planor fight as she has no ranged attacks.
*Siding with the Grandfather of the FOrest to help rescue her friends from death- this lead to her Shield of Aakros shaming her.
*Not being able to prevent the team from turning into trees for 1.5 weeks.
*Post trees, being in shock to be able to stop Ivo Sterngrip from strangling Yudehka to death.
*The failed success of rescuing Alice with no casualties. 19 died in the village after Markus's distraction failure/success.
*Smearing the name of Yudeka as a slave, to help speed up the talk to allow her and her comrades to escape the city.

Mental Trauma

War: War was not easy for Oxwyn. During battle she followed every order, no matter the order. She did a lot of questionable things, but such is war. She was a good soldier. Things began to turn when she found Markus. Something in the back of her mind stopped her. She was reminded of her second chance on life. It was about here her Paladin like abilities surfaced.
Now she is plagued by images of the battle in her dreams. She was prepared, but what she witness has scarred her soul. If she hadn't snapped out of her red haze of a soldier to rescue Markus...what would have happened. That question haunts her and her guilt presents itself in her dreams.
 
Assassination of Ivo Sterngrip: During the fight to kill Ivo Sterngrip, Oxwyn gave into the pain of punishment, smiling and grinning with every hit from Ivo. Her final blow was biting and ripping off the lip of Ivo. She saw 19 innocent bodies on the ground, husks of villagers houses and livelihoods, all to rescue 1 girl and her baby. Her consciousness and morality took a big punch, as she is battling internally with what these lives mean to her body count. Can she ever forgive herself, for the death toll of her time in the Queens army and for the accidental, but still very relevant, deaths of innocents.
 
Letting the Team Down by getting Beat:
The first time Oxwyn fell unconscious in a battle was at the hands of a surprise attach on some scouting Orcs and their pet wolves. There was nothing special about them, it was just the fact she was against 2 orcs almost solely as a Tank. This is what scared her most. Dieing in an epic battle or against a terrible enemy is one thing, but to be knocked down by scouts, infront of her team. It shook her. You can find Oxwyn now on edge, always on guard and always keeping an eye out for the impending doom the Knights of the 3 roses will surely bring. In till the Knights are defeated, and the young lord Berengard re-instated, Oxwyn may never quite relax.

The Thunderhelm clan have controlled Dol Darum for generations.
In order to allow the Order of the White Owls escape from the Principality of Stybrogia, Oxwyn had to convince Ragnir Thunderhelm to let them use the underway. Negotiations Successful: Oxwyn now owes a life debt to the clan.
The Bloody Saints:
Having helped Nail to lay to rest a past mistake, all 2 members (Nails and Spider) have deemed our order worth. They were witnesses on the day we named ourselves.
Yudekha (Deceased):
A mysterious elf lady who rode around on her giant white owl, Edwin. She had helped the party on numerous occations on navigating forests and keeping an eye on us on behalf of Mitra.
Oxwyn had a crush on her. Nothing was acted on.
Yudekha was brutally murdered by Ivo Sturngrip for being an Elf at the wrong time wrong place kind of scenario.
Pheur:
A mysterious red tiefling who appeared in the underways. For help retrieving his stolen staff, he would guide us out of the underways safely...in mutal dis-content.

Steelong and Crysauty met on their Ukritz-di-Oxar where they both visited the same tribe.

Oxwyn is the youngest in her family. Family business is weaponry with 1 brother going into emblazing and embelishing to offer finner weapons. Her brothers all did a stint in the millitary and all made a name for themselves in 1 way or another. Whether it was weapon making, combat or charm.

Paladin Oath
A paladin who takes this oath has the tenets of conquest seared on the upper arm.

Oxwyn doesn't know how it is to be devote. Constantly struggling with how her oath of conquest can be converted to her life as it stand now. She wants a just world, filled with equality and justice. Perhaps her conquest is to build the world from scratch. To start a new world where people are given a chance at life without the coruption engulfing them.

Mannerisms

*Despite her long life in the world below the sky, her common is very broken and sometimes she looses the meaning behind phrases. Her knowledge of common is perfectly fine, but there is a mix of reluctanance to learn in fully. Plus, Dwarves take longer to learn these things as it's not nessesarily something they are born good at.
*Oxwyn enjoys drinking in about every situation. Drink warms the heart, and connects people together in an envrionement where there are less walls to break down the more one drinks.
*Oxwyn wishes to be more strategic and thoughtful in her plans, but her brashness and strong will can sometimes get in the way of coherant thought.
