Appearance
Physical Description
Skeletal, old, and rickety. There's not much left to Nukpana. It's an amazement he can hunt at all.
Body Features
Nukpana has surrendered his human form, as changing between forms is too strenuous for his arthritic bones. Rib bones show clearly on his body as they jut out from his skin on his sunken torso. He is a dark colored one, white bones showing bright against black fur, but his back and ears are now tipped with silver. His legs end in a pair of cloven hooves.
Facial Features
Nukpana's face is skeletal and bleached white. His long elk style antlers are pale, with cracks visible in their many tines. There are so many that they look like the bleached branches of a birch tree.
Physical quirks
Nukpana's body cracks and creaks continually with movement, sometimes loudly when he first begins to move.
Apparel & Accessories
Adorned in his antlers are small toe bones of coyotes tied with sinew to the tines. As they hit the antlers and one another, they sound like wood wind chimes.

Personal history
Nukpana is ancient in the literal sense of the world at the old age of 167 years old. Born in the west somewhere in Arizona after his family fled to avoid settler expansion, his worl was already creeping towards death. Open territories, no electricity, and plenty of Beethoven if you ventured to a well populated city. He lived traditionally for his kind in Hopi territory. As a very young boy he witnessed his first historical event that would change his world; the Civil War. Too young to participate, but not too young to feel their ramifications. Fleeing confederates in bands of raiders had fled out west through his lands. Behind them came the US army, and of course settlers.
It was one of these raiding parties fleeing the fall of the south that sent him into his first hibernation. Nukpana was 31. During this time, the native world fell into chaos. Reservations were filled as territories were closed and land was stolen. The frontier was taken. As the dust settled after all the heartache, Nukpana awoke alone, separated from his family.
He never would find them again.
Nukpana ate and wandered his way all across the midwest. North, west, south, and eventually east. He saw a world he never knew before. In 1919 however he was injured again by a hunter and crawled into a place to hide and hibernate. He missed the death of the cowboy and the wild west. The roaring twenties, the Great Depression. He missed both world wars. Once more Nukpana awoke to a new world in 1955. At over 100 years old, Nukpana and his constant decades long hibernations had him looking only as old as 55. His ravenous hunger dragged him east towards denser populations. He crossed the Mississippi, and headed for the coast. The quick technological advances, especially in the 1990's had him swear off human interaction completely. Nukpana couldn't tell you exactly what history he did witness, just what he saw happen. His small spatterings of hibernations after 1955's awakening extended his life immeasurably, as he is the last of the old world wendigo that lived reasonably free from settler influence.
