Grimbald was born into a tribe of Dwarven bear totem barbarians who lived deep in The Stormwall Mountains. From a young age, Grimbald was trained in the ways of the barbarian, learning to harness his rage and channel it into battle. His tribe valued strength and independence above all else, and Grimbald quickly rose through the ranks, becoming one of the tribe's most fearsome warriors.
 
Despite his prowess in battle, Grimbald was always something of an outsider within his tribe. While he shared their love of independence and honor, he also had a soft spot for animals, often taking in injured or abandoned creatures and nursing them back to health. This made him something of a curiosity among his tribe, and he was often teased for his compassion.
 
Eventually, Grimbald's tribe came into conflict with a neighboring group of dwarves who coveted their land and resources. Grimbald fought valiantly alongside his kin, but they were ultimately overwhelmed and forced to flee into the mountains. He's still searching for a new tribe or community to call home, but until then, he's content to wander the land and fight for what's right.
