His life changed drastically after he was taken in for the ritual of the new moon; solidifying his place in the temple and in life. Ahisu no longer had a normal childhood from there on out. He trained daily with his father and saw his mother and sister in the fields tending the flock of the temple when he could.
At the age of nineteen he was able to carry out missions with his father, and eventually hold his own in the crypts. The training became more specific in nature. He would have to decompose and commemorate bodies in funeral rites and even calm their souls afterward. Ahisu's mother, Dalia and his sister, Aziza were incredibly proud of him and life got much better, until the new emperor took seat and cut the funding of the temple and decommissioned the role of Crypt Keeper in Amonkhet. Ahisu and his family panicked, yet his father did not waver. His father told him that he would have to continue his duties and carry them out without any assistance from the authorities.
Determined by his fathers perseverance, Ahisu trained harder than before to embark on a journey to become not only the next Crypt Keeper in the temple, but perhaps in all of Amonkhet.
Now at the age of 26, there is word that the next in line to take over the temple will take her pilgrimage across the nation and Ahisu will be required to accompany her. His abilities must compliment hers to change the state of the nation.
