Physical Description

Garruk is in prime physical condition. His body is a mass of bulking muscle supported by an impressive and intimidating frame. He has not lived a life of hard manual labour, but rather he seems to have naturally filled out to this state of being. A sign of strong stock, likely originating from his Orchish parent.

Body Features

Garruk sports a handful of scars across his body. Growing up was tough for him, and as a Half-Orc he aged rather quickly compared to other human children. He would constantly get in fights with older teens and young adults who wanted to test their mettle against "The Monster".

Facial Features

Garruk has vibrant purple colored eyes, as well as protruding tusks from his lower jaw. His facial features consist of mostly the bold, bulbous features of an orc blended with the softer, more angular features of a humanoid. His ears are slightly pointed, and curl out slightly. Paying close attention one would see that his gums are somewhat grey, rather than pink and his lips are also just a darker shade of green than the rest of his skin.

Apparel & Accessories

Garruk is almost always dressed in the same clothing. It's difficult to find cloths for someone of Garruks size. He wears a simple cloth mantle and kilt of unremarkable quality as well as some cloth bracers. This clothing offers next to no protection from wepaons, or the elements. Instead of shoes or sandals, Garruk wears rough linen wraps around his feet/ankles.
 
The only remarkable thing about Garruks attire is a very intricate looking necklace that he wears. It was the only thing found with him as a child, and seems to be of Orchish make. It consists of animal bones, beads, and feathers and is Garruks most prized possession. One would note that it looks like items were added to the original piece. Including sea shells, and small wooden carving of the symbol of Maelstra next to a black talon at the base of the necklace.

Mentality

Personal history

Garruks origins are completely unknown. He was discovered upon a Dwarven vessel by the human Gabriel Hugo. Gabriel took pity on the poor Orchish child and decided to protect him along his journey. Along Gabriel's trip back to New Crescendo, the Dwarven vessel capsized and was taken to the deep by a mighty storm. Among the survivors were Gabriel, and Garruk. From that day forward, Gabriel had become a fervent follower of the goddess Maelstra, and Garruk had become his son.
 
Garruk lived a hard life among human society. As a youth he struggled to defend himself from other children who would constantly gang up on him and beat him with sticks and rocks. He was seen as a monster, as were all Half-Orcs in the city. They were few and far between, but they did exist. As a Half-Orc, Garruk matured and grew at a rapid pace. By the time he was 10 he was 5'10 and out weigh his peers by about 30lbs. It was at this time that he started fighting back, and built a reputation as a strong-arm.
 
In his spare time, Garruk often liked to carve from pieces of scarp wood or sticks he found around the crowded streets. He also liked to listen to the bards and street performers, albeit from a distance. When he wasn't assisting his father all over the city with his sermons, he was usually avoiding his step mother and exploring by himself.
 
As Garruk matured he became less of his fathers assistant, and more of his body guard. Half-Orcs mature and grow at a much faster rate than humans, and by the time he was 16 Garruk was already a fully grown adult. Gabriel is a large man, but dwarfed in comparison to his son. The two were definitely not a duo to mess with, and eventually Garruk started hauling around a massive stone maul to ward off any would-be trouble makers.
 
Life was simple for Garruk, hard, but simple. However, he has always heard the call of his people. His distant memories of his youth bring him back to a desert, clutching a persons back as the blinding sun beat down upon his face. He has always wondered about his origins and has always dreamed of leaving New Crescendo for the far west to uncover his past. Recent events have put him in a particularly interesting position, and he is now unsure of his future.

Honorary & Occupational Titles

The Strom Herald - Named by the wise and mighty "Boneman" of the Navali, Garruk has assumed the title of "The Storm Herald". It is unclear what this means for the young Half-Orc, but time will tell.

Family Ties

The Stormtusks - A revelation provided to Garruk by the mighty Orc Orvek, of the Navali.  The Stormtusks are a tribe of extremely powerful Orcs who reside around the bridge that crosses Storvo's Wrath.  They are considered the most powerful tribe of Orcs to have ever existed.  They are not known to leave anyone behind, so the fact that Garruk was somehow abandoned is strange to him.

Religious Views

Garruk rejects the human gods, wondering if his own people worship a different pantheon. However, his fathers sermons about Maelstra have rubbed off on him. He is convinced that the natural state of the world is chaos, and to survive, one must be an immovable rock among the waves.
 
Update: When Garruk learned from the mysterious Dark Elf that the gods exist, and that they have known of their existence for quite some time it threw Garruk through a loop. Suddenly his doubts about the gods were washed away, and that his fathers devotion was warranted. Perhaps Garruk was too harsh to write off the gods, and if they exist than maybe there are gods among his people as well.
 
Update: As Garruk has continued his adventure, his thoughts have continued to return to Maelstra and the idea that other gods likely also exist. As his father has continued to receive visions and messages, Garruk has begun to listen for his own otherworldly messages. He has begun to reflect on his place in the world and his mission, and now believes that chaos has guided him to where he stands today. Where once he was an immovable rock among the waves, he has now begun to think of himself as being among the waves. Chaos guides his hand and fuels his power. Perhaps with this realization he too will begin to receive messages from the gods.
