Earned his nickname from his ability to speak orkish language and his ugly looks, he is not a half-orc. He is a cleric of the Shining One, and is charged with bringing the light to darkness and improving the lives of the people in the Vinculan Foothills.

Raised by a half-orkin river boat master, his family was killed by orks on the Bloodflow River. As a teen he was on the verge of becoming a bandit when he was found and converted by the Bishop of the Lantern in Magera. After spending years in training, he was ordained a priest and vested with the ceremonial stole and chasuble. Because of his experience in the region and his language skill, he was sent to Magera to stand the Dark Watch and advance the cause of the Lantern in the northern Foothills.
