Appearance
Physical Description
Falorin is slight, and ill suited to being struck in anger or blasted by magics. When preparing for battle, he equips a studded leather suit of armor and comes strapped to the nines with knives, cutlasses and a bow. He favors an engagement that allows him to strike swiftly and vanish behind a suitable ally, or one that allows him to attack at a distance. His skin is lightly tanned from his years serving on the deck of a ship, and his hair is either cut to a manageable length, or tied back in the event that such maintenance is impossible.
Identifying Characteristics
When not bristling with knives and swords, Fal is difficult to pick out of a crowd. He tends to make his rounds wearing the standard attire of a tradesman, although those knowledgeable in the Cant will notice his rings if they're seeking a professional. If one is familiar with his nervous habit of tossing and catching whatever is at hand, this can also be an identifier.
Apparel & Accessories
In a typically outing, Falorin wears his tradesman's tunic of rough cloth with a leather belt, dagger and leather boots. He will also wear (as the need strikes) an oiled cloak, a ring on his left hand and two on his right. His daggers and cutlasses, when on display, are hard used but well maintained.
Special abilities
He is a trained swordsman and skilled in the many skulduggerous arts.
Mentality
Education
Eclectic, and private.
Employment
Privateer of the Cadoran Navy (former), Locksmith in the town of Godric's Landing
Accomplishments & Achievements
Survived the streets of Cador until the age of 15, and the high seas until the age of 21.
Intellectual Characteristics
Falorin's knowledge base is patched together from his eclectic education, early life experiences, and information gathered on the fly as necessity demands. As a result, he can come across as well trained and versatile at a shallow glance, while appearing poorly trained in any field that requires a consistent, thorough understanding.
Morality & Philosophy
Falorin feels deeply for the downtrodden, and is more understanding of the failings of a poor man than a rich one. As one who climbed out of the gutters on the whims of chance, he is keenly aware that only a twist of fate separates him from the average beggar or thief. This sympathy meshes poorly with the realism bred from his childhood in the alleys, for he is just as keenly aware that for every beggar he tosses a coin to, another one he never sees will starve.
Personality
Motivation
Falorin dreams of a world where no child's mother will starve and die in the streets. He knows he can't create that world, but when he comes across the man or woman who can, he hopes he will have honed himself enough and gathered enough resources, contacts and power to help them do it.
Savvies & Ineptitudes
Falorin is a prodigy and is used to picking up the essentials of most skills he tries to learn within a short period of time. This has left him impatient with things he cannot learn almost immediately and unwilling to put forth extraordinary effort in non-essential situations.
Hygiene
Falorin most commonly holds to the hygienic standards held on sailing vessels, and is much more likely to spend his spare time maintaining his kit than himself. However, he will clean up when he expects to be in the presence of nobles.
