Korranburg Chronicles - Tales and Travels with Morgan Column #1

Hello, I am Morgan. I have recently met this paper’s lovely “reportors” here in Xen’drik (well, “met”, more like they rescued me from a very slimy basement) and they are very nice people and told me all about this paper of news and the “articles” they write and said that maybe the paper wants to hear from me as well.
 
This is understandable because I am very interesting. I come from Argonesson, you understand, the land of the very best knowledge and arcane secrets. But that is not what I am going to write about for you, my friends-of-the-paper.
 
I grew up in a library, you see, so I really enjoy stories. Stories are how we learn about the world, so I decided I am going to go around asking people for their stories and then telling them to you! (If I feel like it and they aren’t too good as secrets.) (Stories can also be valuable.)
 
So today I want to tell you about a woman I met near Stormreach at the Tents of Rusheme. Izhazi was her name and she is a stone giant. Her people believe in the way of Rusheme, who isn’t a person (believe me I asked) but a way of life. It means to live in accordance with nature. Many of her people live totally isolated from other society in the wilds of Xen’drik, but those at the Tents live close enough to trade and do business with the city society, but far enough away to avoid invoking the curse. Because do not forget, readerfriends that Xen’drik is a cursed land (so many curses!). In particular any city that gets too big will be destroy one way or another. The followers of Rusheme believe that fate is due for Stormreach sooner rather than later, if I understand their attitude.
 
Well, that’s not our concern anymore because we’re headed out into the wild jungles again! Hope Stormreach is still there when we get back!
