Personal history

I lived in the Underdark for the first few hundred years of my life.
 
From the ages of 25 to 200, I trained my innate ability to wield magic with the help of a tutor named Lady Iym. She wore an ornamental headdress of bone and recognized that the gift of giants blood was in my veins.
 
Sadly, a few decades after my mother became the Matron Mother of our house, she felt that my magical ability was not strong enough, and that the giants blood in me was an insult to Lolth.
 
In her "kindness" she excommunicated me rather than kill me. I never saw her, my family or Lady Iym ever again.
 
I came to the surface through a treacherous journey through Undermountain, arriving in Waterdeep. I thought finally making it to the City of Splendors would be the start of my new life, but for the first year it felt like the lowest and worst part of my 250 years living.
 
I was homeless and I had nothing. Adventurers turned me away due to being a Drow, and I did not want to live the life of a filthy thief or beggar.
 
I nearly starved when a kind half-elf named Delfaen Cliffwood, took me in and taught me how to do more than just survive in Waterdeep, she taught me how to live among the nobility. How to serve and how to make friends. I considered her a stepmother of sorts, until she passed away in a failed childbirth.
 
It was during my years with her that I met and briefly worked for Volo Geddarm, explorer and writer. I assisted him with travel arrangements for a time, until I met and fell in love with Davil Starsong, adventurer and "Doomraider".
 
I left Volo after securing him travel to Chult, and spent a good ten years dating Davil, always eager for him to return home with new treasures and stories gathered from the tombs of liches he valiently slayed.
 
Eventually, though, he retired from that life and began working for the Zhentarim, which I didn't mind…at first. But then his work and their business just became more important than I was in his life.
 
We split up about ten years ago, but there's no hate between us…Honestly I even considered going back to him if I hadn't landed this job with House Ravenshade when I did. Money has been getting tight, and if there's one thing I know….I refuse to ever be poor again.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Successfully founded the Sisterhood of Free Mages, an apolitical arcane organization designed to protect the interests of magic across the Sword Coast and all of Faerun.
 
Our core values are:

• Leave all political agendas at the door and discuss the overall status of magic in the land.


• Study & archive the arcane arts in all facets - sorcery, wizardry, warlock, cleric.


• Have representatives from all areas of magic and all organizations to be looked upon without judgement or hostility.


• Ultimately discuss and create a think tank for members to share ideas and ambitions for magical abilities.

Mental Trauma

My mother killed my father and rejected me in our noble house. She told me that I was inferior in the arcane arts in comparison to my sisters and that I was unable to please Lolth. She had me banished from our house.
