Rather short for a Yuan Ti, Sleyvas comes from a destitute village in the southeast corner of the Yukahatan desert. Being bullied heavily his entire existence, he poured himself entirely in his faith. His god seems to smile on his deeds.
Rather short for a Yuan Ti, Sleyvas comes from a destitute village in the southeast corner of the Yukahatan desert. Being bullied heavily his entire existence, he poured himself entirely in his faith. His god seems to smile on his deeds. Spending most of his time fishing on the coast or kneeling at his prayer block, Sleyvas never wanted any friends. He took solace in his faith and comfort in his self isolation. He worked only to eat and please his deity. Eventually Merrshaulk took notice and kept a watchful eye upon him.
On a particularly hot summer day, Sleyvas had finished his daily fish haul, and returned home to kneel on the wicker mat he kept before the small idol of his omnipotence. Sweating away in unyielding meditation, he was granted a vision. He saw before him a giant, bustling, thrice tiered city. Built into the side of an imposing mountain, his god communed to him he needed to head there to meet a grouping of people, never giving a reason. Sleyvas didn’t need one, though. He swiftly packed his things, the few he did have, and set off on the road to this unknown land in the name of his deity.
He pondered often during his time under the stars. Where was it exactly he was going? What purpose could this quest hold? But he never wavered. It was important, so he would go. Through trials and tribulations one’s faith will be tested.
