To Viv's for advice

Sabine seemed shocked to find me eating wings, I shrugged and say I wasn't the squeamish type. She was trying to figure out what to do with her car since it was borrowed, I said Fuck 'em and told her to park it in one of my spots, no messes with my shit for a reason. Mikal let me know all the camera feed files were corrupted which made it look worse, told him to talk to our lawyer on retainer and see if there wasn't anything we'd need to get ahead of as I drove up north. Messaged for him to get the cops lunch and to get a card if need be. Cash App'd him the money. Buzzed into Viv's place didn't look around much, area was a shit hole but still better then Tijuana I guess. Daphne let us in and as usual she looks rough, kind of early to be hungover at her age but I did much worse when I was around that age and younger so I couldn't judge much. Sabine started to explain and Viv had her stop as she did something... Magic people be magicking but she did some magical bonsai thing to a marijuana plant... so I got the idea to ask the Mrs. if she wanted to roll and smoke later when I got home. Immediate response. Viv looked at the sketch Sabine had the the photo on my phone and took us into her dungeon, Daphne came and flopped in a bean bag chair, getting paid to lunge didn't seem like a bad gig. After a while Viv said she figured it out she thought the carving on the body was a ritual to kill someone. I asked if that was a bit excessive and took to long since you can just snap a neck and be done with it. She explained kill was the wrong word and this would erase her soul from the soul well so she didn't exist at all now. Viv asked Sabine if there was anyone pissed off enough in Hell to do this to her. Sabine didn't think it made sense since her dying and coming back would make sense since she'd be back to her old job with punishment, this didn't benefit her old boss. I shook my head and finally piped up, if it didn't make sense it fits into most situations not specific to Hell, if you're in the wrong place at the wrong time and you see something you get silenced so you don't talk quickly. If there's no soul left there's no way of knowing what she saw or heard. This gave everyone a pause until Daphne belted out suddenly and explained what had just happened. After it was over I looked at the other two as she wrote down what she said since she didn't like keeping a hold on what she saw when her mind told her things she shouldn't know. I moved back as saw she had a similar log entry a week ago. I let the other two know she picked a hell of a time to sit for a week on someone getting carved up. I guess what happens will happen like in that Butterfly movie with the guy from that 70s show. I got in contact with Harper since he was in my territory and asked if he heard someone the others talked for a bit and eventually as the evening was setting in I excused myself and went back home. Hard for the Mrs. to roll if I still have her papers and weed.
 
Hope was naked in the backyard a little before sundown digging a hole. She used the bathroom and covered it with fresh dirt. I asked the wife why we needed diapers again when she came running back to the house. Lost at rock paper scissors so it was my turn to clean her up. Not the quiet Saturday I wanted.
