Twenty-five years ago, a strange comet shot across the skies of Evadell. On that fateful night of the shooting star, another star was born. From the comet shot an orb of blinding light, flying straight through the doors to the High Church of His Holy Light the Redeemer. After the carnage had settled down and the light had dimmed, the High Emissary found the limp, charred body of a young girl in the crater. He rejoiced, for there had been an ancient prophecy that foretold a Chosen of Abbadon piercing the sky with their blinding light, and in time cleansing the world once more. Over the coming weeks, he nursed her back to health and taught her to praise Abaddon for sparing her life. After young Evangeline (named so after the evangelical guidance Emissary Kyle had provided) was well, she was taken in by the royal family, having wanted a girl of their own. Her first night in the castle was a memorable one for all involved, as that was the night the divine light would burst forth from her once more. It was shortly after their first dinner as a family, and Evangeline was preparing for bed with the help of a rather predatory servant. When the servant tried to force himself on her as she was undressing, the princess screamed as burning light shot forth from her eyes and mouth, killing the servant and badly burning her by the time the queen came to her aid. The king knew he had to do something at once, and worked with his scholars, holy men, and wizards to help Evangeline learn to control this divine gift, and to train her in His Brilliance's ways. With the years, Evangeline grew in both knowledge and power, mastering her own gifts and mastering the ways of medicine to better help others. She became quite the adventurer at an early age, going on mission trips with her fellow emissaries and diplomatic missions with her brother. It was on one of these trips, at the age of 19, that Evangeline's life changed forever. On a trek through an uncharted wood, the princess stumbled across a door in the bark of an ancient oak. Despite the warnings of her companion, Delphine went through the door and found herself trapped in the Feywild. Ever the resourceful one, Evangeline quickly adapted to her environment, learning the skills she needed to survive in this strange new world; in time, she became attuned to the chaotic nature of the plane and learned to manifest it as a Feywalker. It was through this power that she eventually made it out of the Feywild a harrowing six years after she entered, though she looked not a day older than when she had left. After a heartbreaking reunion, Evangeline recounted all that had happened to her family, met with awe and pride in what she had accomplished. Soon after, the High Emissary told her of the Prophecy that foretold her coming, and what her purpose was in life. Fueled by this information, she strived to know more about people, gods, monsters, and where they hail from. Since then, she has been hard at work easing political tensions and researching the inner workings of the vast world she lived in, looking for answers as to where she came from and what else was out there...
