My name is Ruben, my oath is that of the elder sign.
 
I protect the mortal realm from threats that would do it harm. I guarding the gates that connect both realms from the elder evils, that is my calling.
 
Before I was a vanguard I was a normal man learn about paladin ways from the church of helm, I did this for many years then I took my oath and this was when I met Dezun .
 
I did not like Dezun at first. He is the same as every wizard gunning for himself but after while he started to grow on me, I guard him from the threats that would otherwise enslave him.
 
Whilst traveling I try to find hidden, esoteric knowledge but so far I have had no such luck, however we are trying to find a party to join so hopefully we will have more of a chance. We found a party but in the midst of this Dezun betrayed us all he gave in to the power that calls him and whilst we sailed across the see he jumped to the depths below, I HAVE FAILED. Deep down I know he is still alive i can feel it, he mocks me probing into my mind I must find a way to block him.
 
Now my purpose is clear Dezun is a threat the world is not safe I must stop him not matter what, I'm coming for you Dezun, your time has come...…
