Lunno Venways, born in Vanule Forest, is an aspiring healer and transfer student from Durrendale. She is focusing her studies at Kempton on medicine and its history.

Lunno Venways had a dream. Even when she was still barely a fledgeling, she knew the incredible, transformative power healing magic held. She practiced on the nicks and scratches her brethren got as they flew through the tree branches. When she, at an astoundingly young age, prayed over and successfully healed an elder's broken wing, her parents knew she was destined for greatness.
 
She threw herself wholeheartedly into her studies at Durrendale, aiming to transfer out to a more prestigious school when she became of age. But the monotonous grind of academia, relentless bureaucratic challenges and tickboxes, and the apathy -- if not sheer boneheadedness -- of her peers left that dream heavily bruised, in a way little magic could fix.
 
For as much as walking up the steps of Kempton for the first time filled her with a sense of excitement, the familiar, cold air of dread would start to slowly seep into her feathers. Just a little longer, she told herself. Just a little longer.
