A natural inquisitiveness characterizes all of the Tabaxi race, and Rhekyt was no different. Born with an innate thirst for knowledge and understanding, not only of the world he inhabited, but also of the people that coexisted with him, the walls of the secluded city of Techtituloan were just a temporary deterrent for his incipient yearning for adventure. Those who knew him weren't all that shocked when, one day, he simply disappeared from their lives, without a word, without a farewell, without so much as a glance back, for they were as certain of the inevitability of his departure as they were of the fact that he'd gone off to follow his true calling in lfie.
The saying goes that curiosity killed the cat, and it very nearly came true a number of times in Rhekyt's case. Yet, this was never enough to dampen his bright spirits and curious nature, though he most certainly should've learned from his debacles somewhat. However, his steely determination and drive soon brought him to seek a way to survive in the world. And what better way to do so whilst also satisfying his urge to do good than through mercenary work?
Thanks to the training he received in his homeland, Rhekyt's outlandish and exotic martial arts gained him a certain bit of renown and attention from mercenary guilds and potential clients all over the world. His carefree demeanor and candor, however, was what won the hearts of those he crossed paths with. Never unwilling to lend a paw, and always carrying himself with a degree of grace uncommon even amongst tabaxi, Rhekyt soon made a wide circle of contacts, friends, even lovers of all genders and walks of life, with whom he regularly sustains relationships he cares for with utmost love and devotion.
