Days of Travel: Cooking with Quetzal

It is always a lovely morning when I get to be home. Saying goodbye to Mother is always hard but the hive is so close! And this time Father is joining us! Its rather exciting. Preacher seems to still be a bit shaken from yesterday and I do not blame them. Damian stayed with them in their magic cabin. Raising more to my theory on them making up in more ways than one. But nonetheless lets be on our way!
It seems that Damian has found their religious experience he has been searching for. New robes and everything. Now he and Preacher have even more in common... I need to double check and see if they are in a relationship or not.
I've FINALLY gotten Damian to appreciate good cuisine by making him huevos rancheros, a personal favorite of mine. I made enough for everyone since I was in a mood. I'm so glad that they turned out perfectly. Currently I am working with Father and Prometheus on finding our route, but I might take a small break to play some cards with Preacher.
We finally made it into the Stonewood proper after dropping off the cart in the nearby town. Father and I are navigating together to help get us there rapidly. We've passed by different land markers, hopefully those will stay there on the way back.
We decide to rest for the night in a nearby ruin, its partially flooded so I hope nothing will get into my maps... After looking around I've found that the ruins were once some manner of not a temple but rather a gathering hall. The archetecture and stonework lends itself to being human craft, difficult to say for certain though due to the effects of the Stonewood. It does strike similarities to the ruins slightly further north in the forests of Marth. Hundreds of years old, potentially thousands. Does seem to be in use due to areas of char and some carcassses of a boar and skeletons. Damian is investigating the bodies and Preacher wants to leave but the rain has come in now. Why does everyone have such a hard time sleeping near skeletons?
After some more inspecting Elektos runs into a girl named Selkie from the water, she seems around 16-17 years of age and NOT WEARING CLOTHES. This is rather concerning considering the bunking that I have seen nearby. I have reason to believe that she is indeed a Selkie, a creature known for seducing random people that come across them, river spirits mainly. She came up asking where we are from and asking if we knew a "Gorb". She approaches and I quickly make her a quick Omurice dish to placaite her, learning that "Gorb" might be coming soon... joy.
Gorb came in and revealed himself to be a Cyclops. As he came in with a dead wolf and druid I managed to placate him by cooking the wolf and showing him how to cook for him and Selkie. Turns out that the Druids and other men in the area were hunting them. After showing them kindness and a good meal Gorb lets us stay the night since there are "dark things" out at night in the stonewood. We bed up for the night ready to continue in the morning towards the Stonewood Nexus.
