Fity was born to a penniless crab fisherman on the northern coast in a cold, sleepy little village simply called Dar. His mother died from illness when he was a suckling babe, whereupon his father nursed him on goat's milk and left him to be tended by a village elder woman while he was working at sea. At age 6 he joined his father, repairing crab traps, sewing repairs to lines and nets, and scrubbing the boat. This was a great help to his ageing father, who was able to begin increasing his production. From this Fity began to see the difference that he could make in the world. But success was fleeting and good things were not meant to last. At age 13 his father was struck by an errant walrus and perished. As his father began sinking into the murky depths Fity, in a panic, lunged into the water to save him. His father's body sinking deeper, and the air in his lungs about to give out, Fity perceived something far down in the black void of the sea. For a tiny moment his mind screamed in madness as he saw a vision of The Great Dreamer, The Sleeper of R'lyeh. He thought he lost his sanity. When he refocused, his father's body was gone. Returning to the surface he hauled himself onto his father's boat, frozen and chest heaving. He slipped into lapses of unconsciousness, dreaming chaotic dreams, dreaming of his father who had not simply vanished from this world, but had gone to the embrace of a Great Old One.
Embracing a madness that now lurked deep, deep in his heart, Fity spent the next several years fishing and pondering the beauty of the insanity he felt in that moment. He came to realize that he had been called of Cthulu! As a gnawing obsession that consumes every thought, his dreams increasingly revealed dark, abstract visions of the Old One, which he tried to bring into his drudge waking life by weaving and carving symbols of his master using kelp, dried seaweed, and crab shells. He developed an affinity for the dark sea plants and local foliage that allowed him to express his worship of Cthulu, which became sacred and a source of quiet, growing power.
Having a gift of wisdom and understanding others around him, he began to sense subtle but increasing unease among his fellow villagers at his strange ways. Saying goodbye to his dear, ancient Nana, he eagerly departed towards the depraved anarchy of the city of Gorloth. He realized this was a necessary step to learn to worship Cthulu better from fellow cultists hidden in the world around him (and especially the rumored honeycombed sewers of Gorloth), and to increase his power by leaving the mark of his god around the world. Powers of his own had begun growing. They were the shadows of that Great Dreamer that rewarded his worship with helping those who were important to him, vexing those who crossed him, and sewing small, nascent seeds of chaos and madness in the world around him.
He knows that one day the stars shall align, and his Master shall awake from his imprisoned slumber in the sunken corpse-city of R'lyeh under a vast ocean on a distant world far, far from Terra. He will rise again above the waves on that distant, doomed planet, at which point it is merely a matter of time before Fity is rewarded with the arrival of his terrible god upon Terra as he wipes entire worlds clean in preparation for the return of the Outer Gods.
