A young nobleman from the remote ice planet Polus. Discovered to be force sensitive young, he was taken by the Empire to be trained as an Inquisitor.

Balzaar was the youngest of two brothers born into the wealthy Reele family on the snow covered world of Polus. The Reele family has been prominent for centuries as one of the founding families of Polussa City, and Balzaar and his brother Pakeb were expected to one day follow in their parents footsteps to govern the people of Polus. In their teens however, it was announced that Pakeb would be granted senatorial duty at his young age. In rage and jealousy, Balazaar was able to telekinetically throw his brother and several bystanders across the room. Fearing the public's reaction, as well as ISB intervention, the Reele family handed over their sons to the Empire and submitted to questioning. COMPNOR covers up the incident, returning things to normal on Polus, though the Reele brothers are never mentioned again.
 
Taken to Coruscant, Balzaar and Pakeb are tested and tortured by the Inquisitors. The two are separated and unsure of each others fates. Spending much of his free time growing up studying fencing and classic swordsmanship, and apparently having some natural connection to this power known as the force, the Inquisitors gave Balzaar the option to serve Palpatine with them. Fear drove him to accept initially, though he always thinks back to this day with a sense of pride, even excitement. Upon first seeing the Emperor and Lord Vader, he was overwhelmed by the sheer power they possessed and knew they were the perfection he would strive to become.
 
Balzaar Reele, now known as Inquisitor Ophidia, spent 8 years serving the empire on various missions across the galaxy, though due to his political background and natural leadership, he was often sent on diplomatic duties as well; though he much preferred hunting Jedi survivors, and focused on mastering the lightsaber. Between missions, he is often seen with the female Anaxsi business mogul, Vausa Nova. After these 8 years, at age 24, the second death star has been destroyed. Thinking Vader and the Emperor to be immortal, this broke Balzaar's resolve in the dark side. After much introspection about if the Jedi could be just as powerful as the Sith, he eventually rededicated himself to the path he chose, finding the Empire to still be the preferable option. He swears allegiance to the new Emperor, Blitzer Haarsk, in hopes to shape it in his own way.
