Search And Rescue
We had received distress transmissions from a derelict vessel located in this system. As Sol policy states, we were to commence SAR operations as soon as possible to recover the survivors. It is a simple mission. We navigate to the derelict. We board the derelict. We rescue the survivors. We return to the Torch. It now seems that I cannot trust the exploration crew to do the most simplest of tasks.
I was standing by the airlock, informing the explorers of their mission and to keep radio contact with I, when an explorer decided to press the "open the airlock door and vent the room into space" button. Thankfully, the explorers all had their magnetic boots enabled, ensuring that they were not swept into space. Except for Senior Explorer Jones, who I could see was spiraling out into the void. Unfortunate.
The explorers started their spacewalk towards the derelict, and they were out of my vision. I held my shortwave radio in my hands, awaiting their signal that they had boarded the derelict. I waited for quite some time. Eventually, the radio crackled into life. Something about how they were "over-run" and how there was "an unreasonable amount of deadly space fish" inside the derelict. I reprimanded them for not signalling when they had boarded the ship, and I received silence as a response. This trend continued for quite some time.
Mission Report:
Senior Explorer Jones: MIA
Explorer Davidson: MIA
Medical Technician Bobby: MIA
Recommended course of action: Return to SEV Torch and request an SAR for the exploration crew.

I have many expectations from the exploration team. I hold them to high standards. I do not understand why I continue to do this. About five seconds ago, I had successfully landed the Charon on Exo-Planet Gamma-Theta, a proto-planet with a rather hazardou...
02:19 pm - 01.01.2020I am concerned with the lack of safety regulations. As Chief Explorer ( with permission from the Pathfinder, of course) I have decided to implement safety measures. The first safety measure is in the seats of the Charon. Once the Safety clamps are in place, they cannot be removed without the push of a button. The location of this button is undisclosed, for safety reasons. The second measure is in the airlock of the Charon. It is common that an explorer would accidentally press the wrong button, and doom the entire team. As such, I have replaced the airlock interface with a far more simpler design. It is very colorful, and has two clearly marked buttons. One says "Go Outside", and the other says "Go Inside". The flashing lights upon selecting an option is sure to stimulate even the most bored explorer, ensuring that they do not stray from the Pathfinder during a mission, leading to their unfortunate but inevitable demise. In the event that this is not enough to restrain an explorer, the Pathfinder may depress a button in their hardsuit, which will activate similar flashing lights and sounds in the errant explorer's helmet. If against all simulations, the hypothetical explorer continues to stray, the Pathfinder may press a button which renders the explorer immobile. Discussing the specifics of how the explorer is rendered immobile is against safety regulations. Are there any questions?
