Backstory
Miffy studied at Phoenix University with Peeves and Gibbs, worked with Frazdik Snotwrench as a mercenary for the Rattlesnakes, and saved a precious gem from being stolen with Tequila Thickems.
She started studying the magical crystals throughout the world after her friend Jeritz's death. He wrote her a letter before he passed that included a troubling question: "Why do mages who use crystals not live as long?"
His death was sudden and mysterious. Miffy decided then that it must have been connected to his research. She has been on the hunt for the answer ever since.
