Facial Features

Despite being fit and healthy, Gilvairin has a somewhat gaunt looking face. He has defined and sharp jawline. At the top of the bridge of his nose, between his eyes he has a small scare in the sharp of a distorted U. This was caused when he was stung by a Tyh Jellyfish off the Susilotyh Archipelago. His skin is slightly darkened above and below his eyes, giving him the appearance of age beyond his years.

Physical quirks

Gilvairin, like all Ruridai, has ears that are pointed at the top.

Personal history

Throughout his life, Gilvairin has embarked on many vital and non vital quests throughout the lands of Elyara and some of the surrounding continents. Usually accompanied by his older brother Roerinara Warmglow, and his younger sister Daisay Warmglow. Due to this, he is a well experienced soldier and fighter, with a worldly perspective. Throughout the many battles, fights, and journeys of his youth, Gilvairin has always been able to come out on top, finding victory one way or the other. Due to this, he developed an over confident and somewhat arrogant personality.

Education

Educated initially within the bounds of his families castle, it wasn't long before these classes were taken on the road. The three children never missed lessons wherever they went, be it by horse or ship.

Gilvairin has an affinity for mint leaves. He likes to keep a pouch of mint leaves on his person to chew when he desires.

Gilvairin is a strong-willed man who wont give up in the face of adversity. Rising to a challenge and achieve a goal is extremely satisfying to him. Self-confident with very little self doubt, he trusts his abilities and leadership capabilities, makes his own opinions. An energetic individual, the task of leading does not drain Gilvairin, instead, he is energized by it, enjoying implementing plans and seeing them come to fruition. A charismatic and inspiring man, he has the ability to make people actually want to follow him. This has helped him complete ambitious goals that he could not do alone. He believes strongly in efficiency and does his best to get rid of inefficiency wherever he goes. A strong strategic thinker, Gilvairin views situations on the grander scale. He will look at an issue from every angle, navigating the big picture as opposed to moment to moment situations.

Vices & Personality flaws

Gilvairin can often be arrogant, stubborn and dominant. He is not someone who is able to deal with emotions well, and can often trample over the feelings of others, inadvertently hurting the ones close to them, especially in emotionally charged situations. Gilvairin can also be intolerant and unsupportive of any idea that takes away from the primary goal, even if these ideas are based on emotional considerations of the people around him. This ties in to his often cold ruthlessness in the pursuit of a goal or efficiency in goal. He will show no hesitation to make this known. Gilvairin can be impatient, even in command, he has not yet realized the importance of contemplation.
