Honorable and chivalrous, Alastor seeks to kill his brother who went mad with the power granted to him by the Great Sear.

Born alongside his twin brother Diggory, Alastor always had great ambitions. He and Dig had dreams to become holy knights of Helmast, but their motivations couldn’t have been more different. While Alastor wanted to defend the weak, Dig wanted fame and power; land of his own. Not long before they were to be knighted, the Great Sear occurred and turned them both into sorcerers (though he keeps his power a secret and refuses to use/practice it). Dig was consumed by this power and it drove him mad, eventually leading him to become a destructive menace. Alastor, accepting that his brother was gone, vowed to avenge his memory and kill the sorcerer that took his place. In truth, part of the reason he wants to kill Dig is to kill the part of himself that also has that power. He also kind of hates the church for tolerating the effects of the Sear.
