Noah Ellmenreich is nothing but a persona he uses around the Nine Cities. In truth, he is Xan No'a Yun Tal, freedom fighter of the Xan family of the once proud Illania. His family was slain by the Frost Empire while he was training to take the mantle of Star Dancer, the very same title his mother held. Taking his family heirlooms, he ran far and away, regrouping with several others. They led a few small, remote resistance efforts, culminating in their unit, the Nebula, being noticed by the Crystal Empire - one of better repute, but not one to fully trust. The Crystal Empire offered Noah and his people, at this point a sizable unit, a place of their own. A secluded land that Noah would come to name Ilya, 'Daughter of Illania.'
 
The years would come and go, and Noah would find himself needing intelligence in the Nine Cities for their next battle. He was captured, and when all things looked bleak, Noah was saved by a Ka-dis buccaneer who doesn't associate with any larger empire - Captain Ishtar. With her help, he gained the information he required, and led his resistance in the Battle for the Welkin - a battle which, thanks to the Captain's help, ended up being the resistance's largest victory, succeeding in pushing back the Frost Empire from the heart of the Illania's First Lands.
 
He attempted to keep in touch with Captain Ishtar, but with the Nebula's growth after the war, and the various dissenters, Noah has found his hands full.
 
And thus, his story begins...
