Personal history
I was created to aid my Master, the greatest magical and scientific mind in all of Eberron., in his studies. Bestowed with magical ability and a sense of curiosity unbound by human logic, I was the perfect creation. We spent years researching new technology, bettering the lives of those in Cyre for centuries.
Things where peaceful, until the Last War saw the end of both Cyre and my Master.
My Master and I were designing a new class of Warforged, for Cyre lacked the manpower of all the other Five Nations. My master detested bloodshed, saying that barbaric things like conflict and hate caused scientific setbacks that where irreversible for many generations. He was creating the Warforged to pacify other combatants, rather than kill.
He was in the middle of a breakthrough when he looked at me, eyes wild, and told me to begin a ritual of teleportation and that he was going to fetch the Queen. I began at once, drawing the arcane symbols and gathering the necessary materials. It wasn't until hours of preparation later that the power bestowed upon me by my master, He secret to his long life, and world changing breakthroughs, gave me the portent of our doom. My master was gifted with an uncanny future sight, and this sight showed him the destruction of Cyre, and the Queen herself.
My master returned, unaccompanied and sorrowful. He explained that the Queen would not abandon her people, and that she would stay until every member of the populace was evacuated. We both knew that there was not enough time, many would perish, the Queen among them.
With limited time, my master and I completed the ritual preparations, and he told me to gather a few things. When I returned, I could feel the malign magics crackling in the air. Knowing time was short, I moved to circle and awaited my master. He approached me and I could tell something was amiss from his grief-stricken visage. Before I could say anything, He handed me an envelope, and said "I am sorry my child, please live on and continue the great works we have started, make this new world a better place." Confused I did not realize that he had started the incantations and before I could stop him, a bright flash. As I could feel my body being ripped from this plane of existence, the last thing I saw was the mournful smile on my master's face and the magics that would destroy Cyre melted him away.
I awoke in this new land, but grief took hold. Without hesitation I shut myself down and went into an extended hibernation. The magics in this new land were weak compared to Eberron, and there wasn't enough ambient magic to repower me. Hibernating but fully conscious, I find myself on a ship, led by an odd humanoid feline. Hopefully someone will wake me, until then all I can do is observe.
A small group of travelers, seemingly friends of the captain of this ship. I join their party and travel north to a region called the Desseran Valley. As we become stronger it seems that I start to "remember" my master's and his acquaintances', magic teachings. I am informed of our mission during this traveling, to find out information on a delegation from each of the major factions of this realm.
As we gather information, it seems the situation is more dire then expected. We have discovered that the caravan was ransacked and prisoners may have been taken. This was done by one of the various cults in the region. It also seems that these cults are growing in power, and are beginning to tighten a stranglehold on this Valley. I have pledged myself to the locals of Red Larch to try and keep any harm from befalling them!
