I was my mother’s son from day one. Wily and squirmy as a toddler. Bold and brave. My mother would recant stories of her adventures as a “treasure hunter” and “seafaring merchant”: Painting pictures of joyous pirates, dangerous monsters and devilish greedy nobles - It’s no wonder I grew into an anarchist.
My father was a god loving man. His rigid views on morality and its ties to government and religion created tension between us as I got older. I had my mothers lack of patience and blurred sense of right and wrong. This domestic conflict pushed my desire to explore outside Moonlost with each passing year.
In my early teens, I fought frequently with the other children who mocked me as they began to grow taller and I stayed the same size. What I lacked in weight in strength I made up for with cunning tactics. While I wasn’t growing any taller, I matured faster than the pure elf children, and mentally I grew restless. I was no longer content to talk and scrap my way out of childish problems, I dreamed bigger than that
16 years old: My world changed with a visit from my mother's first mate Arland. He brought to me news of my mother's untimely demise at the hands of her crew. Upon seeing the confusion on my face, he began to tell me about my mothers true profession. While she did spend lots of time at sea, it would seem her "treasure hunts" were really more heists of rich nobles then trips into forgotten tombs. Her mercantile efforts were based more in smuggling and selling stolen goods than making an honest living. On this most recent heist, the crews loyalty had been purchased by a noble seeking vengeance for a prior theft. Once the job was complete, the crew mutinied on the open sea and my mother was murdered. Arland was thrown from the ship and fortune carried him safely to shore. Before my mother was killed, she asked Arland to find me and tell me the truth about her life.
Following this news, I stowaway on a boat to Highgreen in order to find my mothers betrayers and avenge her death. On board, I am discovered by a deckhand and almost thrown into the brig before a dwarven mercenary named Domark decides to pay my passage. He saw a bit of himself in the fiery boy who lashed and kicked at the deckhands trying to restrain him and took me under his wing. Domark was very entertained by my desire to be a great adventurer and would ask me about the various skills I must possess before undertaking such a venture. Whenever I couldn't prove my proficiency, he volunteered to teach me to the best of his ability.
19 years old: After almost three years on and off boats working as mercenaries and looking for my mother's murderers, Domark and I ran into trouble with some pirates from the Summersea Isles. The boat we were on was attacked in the middle of the night and Domark was killed in the struggle. I am captured and taken as a slave to work in a labor camp.
23 years old: After four miserable years in chains, one night my luck changes. I am liberated by a halfling named Katwin Swift who was performing an assassination in the camp where I was being held. Katwin used me as a guide to identify the tents of her marks, then rewarded me with a chance at freedom. Katwin told me that if I found her in Farone, she would teach me the skills I needed to pay it forward. She then disappeared and left me to finish my escape on my own. I still maintained hopes of avenging my mother's death, but admit that after 7 years the trail had gone quite cold. Traveling to Farone and immersing myself in the criminal world seemed like the best way to find out more about my mother's exploits.
30 Years Old: I've spent 7 years working all over the kingdom as an agent of the Farone thieves guild. I worked my way up from menial tasks like street thieving and burglary to long cons and espionage. I demonstrate a proficiency for many tools of the thief but show particularly rare promise in forgery and disguise. After developing a cover as a seafaring sellsword by the name of Nemes Rellik, I am able to track down and infiltrate the crew responsible for my Mother's death. I kill them all, and burn the ship to ashes.
40 Years Old: I continue working with the Farone thieves guild working as many different identities over the next 10 years. I develop the identity for Sihtni Tipsew, a traveling beverage merchant who sells premium alcoholic products to the kingdoms wealthiest buyers. I use Sihtni as a way to gather much valuable intel for the guild, while also lining my pockets with the profits of selling low quality swill for insanely overmarked prices. After over 15 years of service to the guild and living in the shadows, I leave Farone in pursuit of glory that I can take the credit for. I recall my years spent in chains, and the gift of freedom I was granted by a cunning rogue. I decide that time has come for me to pay it forward, and take to breaking chains wherever they may be found.
41 Years Old: A lead on some particularly violent factions of Summersea dwarves brings me to Freytown. A city plagued by frequent raids and kidnappings. Word on the street is, some royal blood might have been scooped up in the most recent attack...

Morality & Philosophy
-Personal Freedom/Individual Right: Your path is your own, as it should be for all. Repeek believes that all creatures should be free to act as they see fit. This is not to be confused with a sympathy for the weak minded, more so a disdain for those who pray easily on the helpless.
-No Desire to be Lead or to Lead: Strong dislike of hard rules and demands. No respect for those who lead because of blood and not merit. Anarchist at heart.
-Morality is Subjective: Life is shades of grey, Red does not subscribe to societal norms or demands. Survival of the fittest, if I can take it from you, then it was never truly yours.
-Honesty is a Dying Trait: As a general rule, I never tell the whole truth unless it is so absurd that nobody would believe it anyway.
How does your character feel about stealing?
Who’s at a loss and who is to gain? I wouldn’t consider Robin Hood immoral. To steal from the rich is to lighten pockets burdened with more than they need to carry.
To what degree do you uphold the law, to where do your characters loyalties lie?
I am not beholden to the words of the gods, nor the monarchs of humanity. No human can enforce law upon another, to breath freely is to be free. My own life is mine to command, and I would willingly harbor and shelter those who I care about from any judgement, no matter how heinous the crime.
Is your character a hero/martyr? How willing are you to risk your life for others? How much do you value life?
I believe in self preservation above all else. I will not risk my life for any other cause but my own. Death comes for us all, my goal is to delay his arrival at my door for as long as possible.

Personality
Motivation
Repeek is principally motivated by glory and recognition. He believes himself to be the greatest rogue in the kingdom but he wants everyone else to believe it as well.
Repeek is also motivated by his disdain for oppression of freedom in all forms. Be it as black and white as slavery, or as convoluted as his views on government placed restrictions on personal freedoms.
