Personal history

Ellywick was born in the Village of Woodpine, coming from a long line of good natured Tricksters. Learning the ways of illusion, she became a keen trickster amoungst them. The elders of the village made note from an early age that Wick had sticky fingers, often without realizing it. The village, and her family, grew tired of her behaviors and decided she would be sent away to an estranged uncle in the city of Babblebrook. They knew at least he had made a decent name for himself as a thief, and hoped selfishly that he would train her behaviors into something profitable to be sent back to them.
Wick's Uncle, a Gnome by name of Grittle Gromp Sindri Knack Sooten Gripp (Alias: Sindri Soot Gripp). He was well known in the underworld, the rogue you hired when you wanted the job done right, without a trace. He was somewhat gruff for a gnome, hardened over time, which is how Wick met him as a young 14yr old lass. She spent 15yrs living with her Uncle, learning her trade, and developing a great understanding of the Underworld. She became a true thief, a loner, albeit the jobs done with her Uncle. He had instilled the reality that her Forest family had no real care for their kind, and it was better to form your own bonds. He always called her his "Little Soot Badger" she grew up feisty, others also addressed her this way in her Uncle's closer circle.
The "Soots" were well known in the underworld then, none could name the face, or name if they tried of a member outside of their own circles. Wick got used to living in the shadows with her Uncle, though still enjoying playing tricks and pranks on passers by, more than he would suggest.
Last year, her Uncle went on a job alone, having refused to let her in on details, and disappeared. This past year searching for answers to his disappearence, finding deadends and runarounds with everyone, Wick became increasingly more paranoid and nervous around everyone.
