New Horizons
I woke up on a boat that wasn't mine, with people who didn't particularly want me.
I journeyed across the sea, to find a marvellous city and watched many people die along the way. My creator was among those people.
I learned that I was the first that my creator ever made. A failed attempt that was quickly thrown away.
I watched the people who I first met, and saw their flaws.
I believed that their flaws would lead to bad things happening.
I believed that they were too willing to leave people behind.
I was right. I don't think that it was wrong of me to act instead of them.
I know that this was what I chose. I don't want to believe that I chose wrong.
I s'pose that friends aren't the first people that you meet, but the ones who come with you when you need them.
I know what I need to be me
And I know being me makes it hard to see
Standing on a precipice isn’t new
