Physical Description

A heavy, muscular physique, and no, she has not skipped leg-day.

Body Features

Has a long scar running on the side of her right leg, and her right leg is slightly weaker than her left.

Facial Features

While she is a barbarian, she is not a wild woman from some forest, hence, she tends to keep her hair in a neat braid, to keep it out of her face, and she wears make up. While she isn't exactly afraid of being seen without make-up, she would prefer to get done in the Morning before joining others.
 
She has a slightly crooked nose from having had it broken a few times. There's a scar of considerable size on the right side of her face. It is not a pretty scar either, similar to an acid burn. This she keeps hidden under heavy make up, but it is still somewhat visible.

Mentality

Personal history

Born to loving, rather traditional parents of a wealthy house. Her childhood was a happy one, if slightly militaristic. She idolized her mother, an officer in the Adonian army.

Education

As a daughter of a wealthy house, she went through a rigorous education focusing on fighting and other things fitting of an adonian woman, including a military boarding school.
 
Being the family's firstborn, she had pressure to Excel in her studies and become a member of the military, possibly inheriting her mother's position. However, she was often reprimanded for her overtly aggressive behavior and headstrong personality, making her somewhat unfit to being a soldier. So, she decided to specialize as a barbarian instead, a fierce frontliner of battle.

Failures & Embarrassments

Holds arranged marriages in contempt due to her past with one: she was betrothed to a son of another esteemed, wealthy family. This engagement ended with catastrophic results and she doesn't like talking about it. She considers this her biggest failure, and a giant hurdle to overcome.
 
She considers this an embarrassing hobby: She likes collecting insects and cooking, something seen as either unfitting of an adonian woman or just nerdy.

Mental Trauma

Her engagement was strained from the beginning, with her having met her betrothed only a few times before engagement, but the son seemed reasonable and complying to the adonian gender roles, if slightly more controlling. Phedra thought they got along reasonably well, and could maybe have a happy life together eventually. 
 
Introspecting her behavior later, she admits that she had been dismissive and dominant to the bethrothed, maybe leading to him lashing out like he did. Phedra doesn't really know why it happened, but blames herself.
 
Angry and violent, the betrothed attacked Phedra while she was sleeping, scarring her face with a potion and then fighting her.
 
This has became, for Phedra, a reason to find a man who is her equal, believing that Adonian men are too underhanded and sly to be trusted, and too willing to use underhanded tactics to their advantage. She vows to never leave herself vulnerable again.
 
Also, she locks her door when going to sleep.

Intellectual Characteristics

Though a barbarian, she isn't dumb, but clearly, academics were never something that she took terribly much interest in. She is well-versed enough in military tactics as per her education, but politics or academic pursuits bore her to death.

She strives to be a good person, and tries to treat others with Stern kindness, unwilling to buckle when she feels she is in the right and willing to settle differences with a fight. 


 
She also believes that strength equals beauty and she is tremendously attracted to people with strength of body and mind. Due to this, she also feels the scar on her face is especially ugly, as it is linked to a moment of weakness and carelessness.
 
 
 
She believes in defending those who cannot defend themselves, and utterly loathes underhanded tactics, con-men and other unsavory characters.

She's savvy about military, but is woefully out of the loop in politics, often unaware of important political figures (especially outside of her country)
 
She can sometimes be a bit intimidating and dominating to other people.

She could never go fully vegetarian, but she finds the taste of fish… unpleasant.
 
She loves collecting insects, and can fiddle with them for hours, but she considers it a bit of an embarrassing hobby. She also likes to cook, but is admittedly… a bit terrible at it.

She's willing to defend her friends' honor by way of battle, and loathes anyone who badmouths them. Otherwise, she is rather friendly, despite her intimidating figure. She likes to party and taverns and inns are some of her favourite places -which is one of the reasons she was unfit as a soldier-. It's not uncommon for her to treat the group to a pint occasionally.

Vices & Personality flaws

Is a rowdy drunk, expect broken furniture when she's under influence. She's also a shameless flirt when drunk.
 
She also places her honor and pride above common sense, meaning it is hard to get her to back out of a fight when she feels she's been insulted. She also refuses to apologize or grovel when she feels she is right, no matter who she's against.

Has a bolsterous, loud laugh.

Hygiene

She takes pride in her appearance, enjoying bathing, though bloodshed or mud doesn't make her scream out of despair. She just expects to be allowed to pamper herself occasionally after a job well done with a relaxing bath and maybe a massage.
 
She also wears make up for multitude of reasons, but also to just look nice. She finds fragrances like perfumes a bit too much however.
