Mother is human. Father is Aethrandi. Aeoman grew up in two worlds, never belonging to one. As the years went by, he pledged to protect the surrounding lands of western Davenhall, believing he did so because it was his duty as the descendant of a long-forgotten king. He defended his village and the surrounding villages from the occasional hoard of undead that came from the cursedlands. But one day came when the hoards numbers were too great for him and his mother was killed in the ambush. In Aeoman's obsession to halt the spread of the undead, he found an ancient Lich who told him the only way to break the sanctify the cursedlands and lay the dead to rest would be found in the Cinereal Lyceum, and lies with the Mantle of Kings. While Aeoman wasn't able to kill the lich for good, he managed to severely weaken him. So then Aeoman traveled to the Cinereal Lyceum where he found a book on the Mantle of Kings, only it was being read by three strange folk: a gnome, a halfling and a human. He got the sense, they knew something that would behoove him to know. So he followed them to a tavern and meant to confront them about why they had such interest in that book, when they were pulled away by a nobel. Aemon followed them further, keeping to the shadows, and watched them enter a grand mansion. He climbed onto the roof and watched the proceedings of a ceremony where a boy was named the master of his house and where a woman, who was called the Coming-King came into the mansion and demanded the boy and his father pledge themselves to him. Finally, the ceremony ended and Aeoman stuck into the mansion to find those three...
