Personal history

Born with Devil's Dystrophy, a strange and incurable disease affecting her muscles and the curious ability to see and commune with the dead, Hecca (Insert lastname here) grew up in a wretched cesspool of spirits, crime, and deals that would make any devil proud.
 
Hecca was always an oddity to encounter as a child. When she wasn't shooing away spirits no one else could see, she was swindling the richer folk in the streets, or spending time in a public library. Her parents encouraged her study of magics, parents who did all they could to make sure she never went hungry; at least until they were murdered in a tavern brawl gone horribly horribly wrong roughly around the age of 13. this might have been more traumatic were it not for the fact that she could still see them.
During adolescence, Hecca turned her focus to bigger schemes with bigger payouts; frequenting gigs like fortune telling or prankster for hire; with a goal of attending TheAMA to pursue a higher education in the magical arts.
As the years went by, she delved into darker, more sinister fields. She began selling magical services to anyone who would stop out of curiosity; bartering for gold and things of worth, but also for souls; souls that she would keep and use for her own benifets wherever she could find them. She currently has 3.
She never expected to actually make it in. She was surprised to be accepted into The AMA with the meager amount of ill-gained money she fronted for tuition (which only just barely covered it). With only 15 gold now to her name, Her curiosity only peaks higher at what could lie behind the academy doors.
