Vara grew up quite comfortably in the Frostfolk lands. At the age of 16, however, they recklessly decided that they would like to leave their hearth and see the world, and pleaded with some Riverfolk nearby to take them along. Eventually the Riverfolk accepted, on the condition that Vara would work for their stay on the ship. And so they participated in several shows. sometimes as the monster or bad guy of the play, and they gained some tips to enhance their performance.
 
The performances began to include more stage fights and mock fights, and Vara found themself to be greatly enjoying their new role of entertainer, although it stung a little that they couldn't actually attempt to win.
 
After a year or two of travels, the Riverfolk and Vara settled for a slightly longer time in Amberwall. During this time, one of the corporations took interest in their show and invited Vara to start a new show in a small theatre in Amberwall. There, their pro-wrestling career started to take off. It was a combination of showmanship and practiced sequences that would increase the experience for the audience, but for the first time, they could also genuinely try to win their fights.
 
In a few years time, the industry grew, and Vara was invited to more and bigger events, the last of which was the grand tournament three years ago. Though Vara won the tournament, they could also tell that the business was maturing and drawing attention of younger and more ambitious new wrestlers. After a career in it of almost a decade, they decided to stop wrestling and leave the floor to others.
 
This did not completely come by surprise to themself, though many of their fans had not seen it coming. Vara had noticed lately some homesickness to their Frostfolk roots. More importantly, the warmth of a hearth seemed to be something that lacked in the city of Amberwall, especially in certain districts. Realizing what that could offer to many younglings in need, Vara decided to spend some of their prize money on creating a recreational center for the local youth, and extend some Frostfolk hospitality.
