Vyxara of the Silver Wings is a tiefling sorcerer with an extraordinary lineage, believing herself to be a dragon due to her upbringing among the majestic dragons of the Silver Wing Riot. Raised in the heart of the Adent Plateau, she lived in blissful ignorance of her true nature. Though, she had an inkling that something was off due to her size and lack of wings. Scared of the truth Vyx shoves this thought to the back of her mind.
Despite her dragon upbringing, Vyxara struggled with draconic language, often misinterpreting the words of her dragon kin. Her dragon family knew human kind and spoken English as their native tongue when around Vyx. Knowing one day she might rejoin her own kind. Her naivety and timid disposition shaped her worldview, and while she displayed magical abilities, she never questioned their origin. To her, they were simply part of being a dragon.
On the eve of her twelfth birthday, her idyllic life shattered when dragon slayers descended upon the Silver Wing Riot, ruthlessly hunting her family. In her final moments, Emberthrax, the matriarch of the riot, lay dying and revealed the heartbreaking truth: Vyxara was not a dragon but had the heart of one. This revelation was a jarring shock, but Vyxara’s understanding faltered due to her limited grasp of draconic. She misinterpreted Emberthrax's dying words as a call to find her higher purpose.
As Emberthrax passed, she gifted Vyxara a dragon egg disguised as a rock, urging her to seek her true calling. In her escape, a dragon slayer unwittingly slashing at her leaving a deep gash on her hand. Knowing she wasn’t a dragon, the slayers took her captive, believing they were saving her from the draconic threat.
Here Vyxara met a young boy who wrapped her injured hand, sparking an immediate bond. Yet, overwhelmed by the loss of her family, she ultimately managed to escape into the wilderness. There, she wandered alone until she encountered Galladorne of the Darkwood Dell, a kind wizard who recognized her latent magical abilities. He took her in, nurturing her talent while teaching her about courage and forgiveness. However, beneath his nurturing facade, Galladorne struggled with deep-seated jealousy of Vyxara’s innate magic, a truth that began to weigh on him.
Now in her thirties, Galladorne could no longer hide his resentment and chose to part ways with Vyxara, leaving her feeling lost and adrift. Determined to find her purpose, she began preaching the virtues of dragons, hoping to demonstrate their goodness to a world that feared them. She even went as far to showcase her dragon egg. Which many people mocked her soon after as they only saw a rock. However, her efforts drew the ire of soldiers who had long since turned against dragonkind, resulting in her arrest. It is in this jail that Vyxara meets her future party members, setting her on a path toward self-discovery, acceptance, and the realization of her true potential as a sorcerer
