"I have no idea how I got here. These last few days have been challenging to say the least, as I emerged in a prison camp on an island called the Clay Cuffs, locked away for a crime unknown to me. The guards took my soul and put it in a new body, which by the looks of it belonged previously to an elven woman. Apparently they call us wandering souls. It is the weirdest experience, but I am happy that I did not get a dwarven or drow form. That would have been quite distressing, to say the least. I am an adult elven woman, and she looks beautiful. I suppose then, I look beautiful. I cannot help but feel guilt and sorrow towards the girl that lost this skin. She is so nimble and light. I knock my new head into a lot of bars and ceilings however. I deduct therefore that I used to be smaller. Whereas my memories, they have disappeared altogether. I cannot recall anything from before my arrival here. Flashes find me in my sleep, of a life before this one. I do not remember what I looked like, who my parents were, where I lived. I cannot connect the origin of my mind, the gravity of my heart, or my inquisitive nature. I only know that these are things that define me. I was called Fainn, that much is sure. I get my powers from the Lady of knowledge Selune, and I see her every night dancing among the stars. She calls to me, and my only certainty is that she’ll guide me through this array of confusing pieces. She must’ve played a part in my previous life as well. Who knows what I used to be capable of. All I know is that I possess magical abilities that would fall under enchantment, and time alteration. The meaning of it all will soon show itself, of that I have no doubt. Whatever evil stirs here, whatever challenge lies ahead, I fear neither pain nor death in my search to find answers and hopefully help others. "
