Personal history

During his early childhood Gauthak's grandfather told stories of the Artificers of old and how they refit sea exploration suits and used them for war. These tales sparked Gauthak's facination in the arcane and how to implement it into items, and so with this he began his studies.
 
When he completed his basic studies at the age of 13 he returned home to find out that his grandfather had passed away and that he wished to show Gauthak his most prized possession, his parents then guided him to the basement to see a large 7ft tall crate and when opened it revealed a suit just like the ones in the stories however when Gauthak tried to use the suit he found it unoperable. With a now disheartened Gauthak, his father passed him a letter which read:
 
"To Gauthak, If you are reading then your parents have informed you of my passing and shown you my War-Suit which I now leave to you, unfortunately it is non-functional. But I do have one last wish. Please restore it to its prior glory and protect those you care for. I'll be watching."
 
With this, Gauthak had a new goal, to rebuild his grandfather's War-Suit, only problem with that was money and one way he could make money and improve his arcane knowledge would be to work at the Ether ship dockyards.
 
Whilst working at the dockyards, his work collegues gave him the nickname Gamma as they saw him as the shy, geeky giant would help them whilst very quiet.
 
Now at the age of 23 he no longer works on the ships and almost has his War-Suit completed. All he needs is one thing, combat experience.
