Passionate about history, Nomura's soul was freely given to the God of Excess eons ago. Nomura is determined, arrogant, and deadly.
Nomura was born to a noble’s mistress in Altdorf. Though she would never inherit, she was raised in the lap of luxury, and grew every hungry for more. By the time she was 16 she was running an upscale brothel for the delinquent children of nobles, and was becoming independently wealthy. At 24, she saw The King in Yellow. While most of the audience was driven mad, Nomura was instead driven to follow what she saw as the play’s inspiration. She reenacted the ritual from the play, and summoned an eldritch being, who told her of old gods who predated mankind, and the dark forests that had birthed them.
Nomura came to love things that were unique and hoarded them. Paintings, poems, songs, whatever couldn’t be replaced, these became a fetish for her. In obtaining these things, she became increasingly unmoored from any concept of life. Finally, she learned to bind the souls of those she killed into her ritual knife. It became her greatest quest to gather as many unique souls as she could, and each of those gave her a small fraction of their life force.
Nomura eventually stopped aging and began to change. She grew far taller than any of her companions by at least a head, and horns began to sprout from her brow. Eventually, Nomura reached the point where she drew a greater power’s attention, if only for a moment. On reaching the epitome of her patron’s sacred number, Nomura was granted the boon of immortality. She took to the battlefields, trying to ensure that each death was unique. However, what she found was that most people were slain with only a single blow from her, and began to grow bored of this, as well. Eventually, Nomura would only strike at leaders and champions, for they were foes worthy of an artistic death.
Nomura was there through the End Times, and mourned the loss of the world that was deeply. The Mortal Realms were thus a great boon for her, as the variety has been a joy for her. Throughout the Age of Chaos she freely travelled, infiltrating some cities in a human guise, mostly stalking in her true form. When given the chance to explore the Lost Archipelago she happily took her court with her, and is excited to find what new things she might observe. She has begun to hear dark whispers, and though she cannot make out the words, she has begun composing music as an accompaniment. Every night, from dusk ‘til dawn, she plays her bone flute to the music, a song for just her. These whispers turned out to be from the being known as the
Mournking, an eldritch abomination who ruled over Mourngul hordes. In the end, the Mournking was vanquished, and in his honor Nomura had the Mournkrieg museum built.
