Session 059: The Interdimensional Museum, Part 1 Report
General Summary
They came up to the museum & had to deal with some animated shrubbery. Theron read the sign & noted to the rest of the party that water might be of assistance.
Euadne used her magics to control the water & make the water rise. This caught the shrubbery constructs & they seemed slower afterwards. They were quickly dispatched & they were able to make their way to the front doors of the Interdimensional Museum.
In the first room was the reception area, with a note informing that the museum made it's money through donations, & a robot was standing before the donation box (which had several coins, paper, & assorted knickknacks.
In the next room was the art gallery several paintings were on display.
- Portrait of a dark skinned elf with white hair -This Drow elf stands amidst a snowfield, flanked by frost covered mountains. He wields two curved swords. There is a black panther standing by his side.
- A Dwarven king with a huge red beard -Clearly a court portrait, this painting depicts a rosy cheeked dwarf with a long red beard. His beard is inlaid with jewels and platted with rings. Rather than a court scene behind him, there is a cave. On one side, the cave is wild and unworked, but on the other, you see fine dwarven masonry and glowing ether lights.
- Five people sitting around a table with dice -This scene depicts a number of people playing a sort of board game. One of them sits at the head of the table with a sort of vanity screen separating them from the other players.
- An airship, cutting through the sky -An airship roars over the skies of a shattered land. The airship has huge sails and a large engine on the side that is spouting eldritch energy.
- A family of clowns behind a circus -A mother, father and child stand outside a decrepit looking circus, their makeup is dripping down their cheeks and in the distance and you can see the ringmaster, smiling in a sinister fashion.
- A portrait of an unknown lady -This is a portrait of a beautiful woman, her arms are crossed, and she looks out at you with enigmatic wistful eyes. She is sitting on an engraved wooden chair, and in the distance, a winding road leads to the horizon. Further, back you see a strange, jagged icy mountain region, seemingly devoid of life.
- A warrior standing on a bridge -This painting is in fact a wood block print. At the right side of the landscape is the image of a warrior, decked out in scarlet armour.
- An empty throne -Adorned with the engraved shapes of bats and skulls, this vast, empty throne sits in a towering room. It appears to be made of burnished gold and has rich blood red upholstery. There are vast patterned curtains behind it, and a single glass sitting on an oak carved side table. Also on the table is a pack of strange cards.
- A sailing ship being overtaken by a squid -This painting depicts a vast galleon, surrounded by sea and spray, its sailors rushing about on its surface with hooks and swords. Wrapped around the ship are monstrous, bloated tentacles.
- A Duellist -This painting depicts an elf, or half-elf, with a tightly clipped beard and rich clothes. A long thin sword hangs from his side. His doublet is open suggestively and he has a cocky, almost arrogant smile. In each hand, he holds a pistol. One pistol is outstretched, smoke pluming from the barrel, delivering its deadly payload to some unseen adversary.
- Knight of Shades came to life 7 attacked the party.
A talking worker was seen in the gift shop, where the stairs to the third floor was located.
There was a riddle in the room to the west, that Theron was able to solve.
They then made their way up to the second floor. Finding a ghost lecturer that tried & failed to bore Theron to death.
In the final room a battle robot ended up attacking the party, during it's attack phase it launched 3 missles, two at John & one at Jekkar.
It was dispatched, & that's where we left off.
What is on the third floor? Will the party be able to figure out what's happening in the Interdimensional Museum?
