Session 011: Mithral Mines Attack Report

General Summary

Today the Chosen gathered at the Mithral Mines, & made preparations to defend their new stronghold.   Pyra's Bronze Dragon egg hatched & he spent every long rest with his new hatchling.   Their was a door placed where the Chosen originally entered the path to the Troglodytes now had a secret passage, with burning oil that could be lit either VIA magic or trigger.   The original door was rebuilt & an open portcullis at the end.   The hall to the Underdark had a locked door, several in fact.   Severs traps were made & Oren went to the Centaur tribe. When he returned to the Mines he slept.   When the attack came: Oren, John, & Loreus took to the seige weapons, three Cyclopes.   Hulgnir, a Halfling, Ollidak, the two centaurs, & three Minotaurs took the main entrance.   Veronica, Kyrah, Pyra, Bullbug (taking leadership of the Minotaurs willing to fight as that is what Oren would want him to do), Euadne, & two Minotaurs guarded the south.   It was a fierce battle & they were victorious. The leader of Sydon’s forces was slain causing the attack to break.   While the forces were retreating a Cerberus & a several smaller ones started to come out of the mine shaft. Lead by the same one that Oren & John sent down the pit.   Ollidak tried to befriend one of the dogs.   The Underworld Cerberus was angry, having had to get Lutheria to help him return. The Chosen fought it & killed it off. (Ending the curse Lutheria placed on the Mithral Mines.) Thus the remaining Cerberi disappeared in puffs of myst.   They found a young Cerberus where the Underworld Cerberus was slain.   Euadne removed the puppy & decided that Ollidak would get to pick if he wanted this little one for a pet before proceeding to determine its fate.....when the party last decided the fate of a young creature here. They killed all but 1 or 2 Troglodytes.   Euadne felt obligated to test something so asked Oren’s help to sacrifice the Underworld Cerberus to Kyrah.   That's where we ended for tonight. Next week. We'll touch on what happened with the sacrifice then Hulgnir has to spend an extended rest at his stronghold 7 days.   We're going to start have a week of downtime, to speed things up. The Great Games will be commencing in 9 days.   The new look to the Forge, the door leading to it is a secret hidden door.   The metal floats above the anvil.   The Cerberus puppy found.   Epic path reminders: -The Demi-God's mother is in the hands of Hexia, Pythor's greatest foe. She is on the Island of the Dragon, in the Forgotten Sea. -The Doomed One needs to speak to the Fates, on the Island of the Fates, in the Cerulean Gulf. -The Haunted One needs to find Themis. As the Amazon Queen has his second item. Themis is in the Cerulean Gulf. -The Gifted One's fortress can be found in the Garden of Helios, in the Forgotten Sea. -The Dragonslayer was told to seek the Fates on the Island of the Fates, in the Cerulean Gulf. -Cursed One was told to speak to the Lotus Witch on Scorpion Island, in the Cerulean Gulf. -Queen Vallus will give Ollidak information on his epic quest when the Ultros is ready to be launched.
