Session 044: Apocalypse & the Sea Report

General Summary

With two of the three divine artefacts collected, the Dragonlords were struck by the sky going red.

  Then great earthquakes ripped around them. Arms grew out of the ground around them, & they knew Kentimane had descended to defend his wife. After a couple of hours the arms stiffened, & then blew in the air like dust, as if they were snapped away.
Jekkar had a flash of returned memory from Damon, that the Dragon Orb could help, & he had spells in his Tome of Research that might help. When Jekkar looked down he saw two spell scrolls in his hand.
Thylea spoke to the Dragonlords, telling them that Kentimane was dead. (The Wolf lord mentioned something about a divine artefact being able to ressurect gods & had Titans was this true or a ruse? Could Kentimane & the others be brought back?) He weakened the Nether Titans, they would rest & recover over the course of a month.

  Making their way to Aresia on Oren's recommendation they found someone willing to sell them the supplies for their trip to the Sunken City, lost city of the Sirens. She asked only for 10% of the treasure, & was willing to let them keep an item of their choosing before splitting everything.
  Euadne copied spells into her spellbook. Pyra attuned to the Amphora, & boosted his CHA to 20. Over the three days (but since his aging hasn't been changed. He has a Dragon's lifespan. He didn't end up looking 13 years old.)
  The trip to where the map pointed the Sunken City, was west of Yonder Island & North of Exile Island. There the Dragonlords found, the long lost Sunken City of the Sirens. Euadne copied another spell into her spellbook, & put together the Chromatic Dragon book into one for Hyakinthos.

      The Dragonlords met with the King of the Merfolk after saving some from Merrow combatants. They won by using Dragon's Awesome Presence to charm them to retreat. Once everything calmed down, they saw the King, he asked them to kill the Merrow Warlord who is allied with Sea Hags.
The Dragonlords were not concerned they had dealt with The Fates, who the Merfolk had heard nothing of, or so they claimed. The King suggested that the Dragonlords stop at the Temple District to speak to the gods trapped in their temples.
The King not wanting to embroil his nation in a war so soon after the Merrow are defeated (assuming they are), wasn't able to swear an oath of alliance with the Dragonlords.
    At the Temple of the Moon Maiden was someone wanting to be her consort & had Merrow waiting in ambush. Theron seeing them manipulated them to attack. Once defeated, the Moon Maiden killed him, after the party spared him. She offered Jekkar a boon of beauty, he refused. Not believing in her promises. Pyra asked for it & was awarded with the boon, & his Charisma went up by 4 to 24. She asked that the party slay the mother of monsters, as it swallowed the promethean fire (the final divine artefact). They gave her tea, using Leomund's Tiny Hut to create a space without water. With Hulgnir, Theron, Ollidak, Euadne & Jekkar, the Moon Maiden inside there was the smell of wet dog, as they enjoyed the tea.
Theron thinks that she lied about not knowing: the Titans, the surface world, & the angel.

  The Dragonlords found the Vile Trickster to be the most honest of this Lost Pantheon. He told them that gifts often are curses in disguise. Eating 12 raw octopus eyes would make one immortal. Ollidak turned a fish into a octopus eye sandwhich for the Vile Trickster, who enjoyed the meal.

  Next, they came up to the Sun Goddess, she claimed to be the unofficial leader of the Lost Pantheon. She said that she had a gift for the one who could touch her. Jekkar braved her radiance, & was blessed with a sliver of her power manifesting as a halo.

  Next the went to the Temple of the Great Hunter, who had three Storm Giants around him. The Great Hunter called for the fight & when the first would be killed he stopped the fight. Though Theron requested that all be spared.
The Great Hunter liking Theron, summoned a Chuul to serve him as a reward.
    Pyra used his divine sense on all the Lost Pantheon that has been met so far.
