Session 7 - Touring the North Report

General Summary

(42nd of Aladir) We complete training (Tristan is 2nd level). The party heads north towards the Riverwatch tower. We stop by the old Henders farm, where the new family Xandin and Mena, are doing fine. From there we turn north, searching for the new Henders farm up north to confirm their safety as we make our patrol circuit. We meet Sgt Vexil near the ford and trade information. Someone was killed by raiding orcs a day’s ride north of the Riverwatch. We stop by the Riverwatch fort and travel up to the Henders farm. Turns out the Raldens did not really buy the land, just moved in and it is unlikely the Henders will get anything out of it. However, this is beyond the scope of our duties and capability, so we are unfortunately unable to help. We turn back, crossing the ford and heading towards the tomb, and are ambushed by goblins led by an orc. We defeat them easily, and even manage to capture one alive! We fall in with a man and his son traveling back to Ralden lands, trading information, and spending a few hours traveling together. (43rd of Aladir) We move on from the ford towards the Tomb, parting ways with the two travelers. We are transporting a wounded goblin prisoner. (44-45th of Aladir) We lose the trail, finding ourselves a day north of the Tomb. Near sunset Reapichirp spots dust and figures approaching from the north, clearly moving directly for us. We set up a mostly successful ambush, and defeat them. 4 goblins, 2 orcs, and 1 orgron (half-ogre, half orc). Reapichirp the Pixie-Fairy personally killed two goblins and ran the Orgron to ground as hacked him to death as he fled the battle-frenzied cleric! Our ambush was mostly successful, although there were a few close calls. We settled down for an uneasy night’s rest. North of the tomb with some minor injuries, we are wary of other goblinoids.
