Epilogue Report

General Summary

Xeyesh and Oradyol travelled back eastward with their Kasun companion, reaching the ruined fort after a short while, and there witnessed again the moldering corpse of Rhokun at its fallen base. They delved down into those depths and made for themselves a strangely comfortable home among the overgrown trees of Magyagardu which flourished beneath. Xeyesh plied his scientific and philosophical trades, writing extensively about these environments and their Eshanic relationships, even if there was no real intended audience now. Oradyol made close communion with his Odyrzid spirits, such that he dwelled in peace in their trees and suffer no more olundi weakness.

Thelastor was no longer free, but a servant to Acolitus in the ultimate sense- a Judge, bound to live without sleep nor food nor drink for the remainder of his existence. Eshanic power upheld his life, such that only Acolitus’ disdain or enemy weapons could destroy him. Orellos travelled with him to Xhalas, which was the only formal extant domain of Acolitus in Qadal, so that he might be trained in deeper methods of combat, Eshanic lore, and presented a host of retainers of his own.

Rhomod returned to Medus with Getas and the corpse of Arelastod, bringing it to the westernmost coast and waiting there for the expended reinforcements from earlier to arrive. In Medus the news of their incredible experiences and bravery had an electric effect on the population. They were lauded as heroes right in the same category as Syrgus, who cast down Eshanic tyranny for their olundi prosperity. Getas was granted titles and promotion by his father, Dephellus, while Rhomod was offered the same but declined. His eventual business was back in the Golbesh, just as he was when the party originally found him. In those woods he would redeem the defeats of his own people, now equipped with the personal tools and connections to defeat any common opponents.

Yaza returned north, toward the Demhaz domain of Sohenas, which was now back in native hands rather than Acolitus’ control. She spoke about these events only with fellow Atamanu, and true to her deal with the Odyrzid never disclosed the location of the pillar city or battlefield. Her own glorious were quiet and subdued, but she became a special correspondant with Artem and Marasi, who were not known to speak often with their people- not since the previous schisms which so disgusted them.
