Session 2: Faking citizenship Report

General Summary

You made your way to the Izakaya the small children ran into in the previous session, wearing the white robes you had found. As you entered you were met by the owner Akifumi who appeared shocked and frightened that you had just turned up unannounced. He soon discovered that you were not who he believed you to be (Kekkan) and appeared angry yet more bothered about the reputation of his Izakaya more than anything. You managed to coerce him into not turning you in to the guards by threatening to tell his customers about your identity. As he got your drinks his daughter appeared wearing a Kasa (hat) obscuring her head and apologized for his demeanor. She informed you that Kekkan were followers of the Chuku Yoki Religion and believed in becoming 'hollow vessels' to be taken over by any higher being that wished to do so. She heard rumours that some try to achieve this through animal sacrifice and they aren't a welcome sight to many. Akifumi returned and due to blackmail said you could return to him if needed by knocking 3 times on the rear entrance but only under the cover of night. You journeyed across the city to Tobo Izakaya and as you did were chased by several guards noticing you being 'outsiders'. You managed to escape through a fog spell and by being pulled into Tobo Izakaya by a friendly Orc but the situation turned hostile quickly as the Tanuki owner bellowed "your kind aren't welcome here" specifically pointing at KenKen. To prove you were friendly he oddly asked you to strip nude and examined you closely before realizing it was mistaken identity, he then said you were all welcome anytime and he hadn't seen outsiders for some time.   The Izakaya seemed to hold a variety of customers from obvious looking scoundrels to well off citizens which appeared odd. He had no information on your dream issue but could help you find the sewer you needed for the badges if you could help him. Through a tunnel out of the city that had been dug you headed to a cave holding an illegal booze stash for him which was overrun by bears, proof of your success was through retrieving a throwing knife that was tuck in one of the bears and having a small bird accompany you. A cub was caught in a trap there and without being mauled by its parents you managed to free it, the bird revealed itself to be his Tanuki wife and was happy that you didn't kill the bears. As you headed back to the tunnel you heard an awful bear groan in the direction they headed and soon realized something was chasing you, as you looked back a red hideous creature brandishing a sword was hunting you down which you managed to scare off through a light cast by Nox.   When you returned to the Izakaya both the Tanuki's looked terrified at the sight you described to them, bordering up the tunnel out of the city. Inu-Gao told you could stay for the night but due to your dreams could only sleep for a short while. he told you that the sewer was located at the top of the Grand Karst in the Outers and to have her aid you needed a password, he couldn't remember which it was and gave you 2 versions:   Nise hare or Nisemono
