Session 42: On the Road Again Report

General Summary

After deciding to head west to the city of Endan Dur, you were waylaid along to road by a violent tremor.     The ground suddenly shifted beneath your feet before once again stilling...   Ahead of you and to the side of the road the ground errupted violently as a wave of force washed over and tossed you to the ground. Steam spewed from the site of the erruption screaching into the air before turning around to settle as thick fog. You investigated this eruption discovering a softly glowing crystal formation in the bottom of a fisure that had opened in the earth.  Richard also spied a vein of gemstones in the wall of the fissure and you proceeded to try to collect them.  Being down in the fissure seemed to sap the strength from Willona but you eventually collected all the gems as well as storing the glowing crystals in Willona's Bag of Holding.   You continued on stopping to rest at a waystop that provides shelter for travelers on the road.  A terse Dunohin woman shared the waystop with you but left before those of you who sleep awoke.   Your next day of travel passed without incident; reaching the next waystop and finding it empty.   During your final day of travel to Endan Dur, you came upon a lone traveler heading in the opposite direction.  He greeted you warmly and engaged you in a conversation; identifying himself as Questor Lucovarious, a Shardbreaker.  You traded information and stories for a pleasant moment before being attacked by a huge creature seemingly made from the fungal matter of the forest that crashed through the underbrush.  You fought valiantly as the monstrosity repeatedly tried to engulf Richard in its enormous maw and eventually stood victorious.
