Session 4: Escape the Island Report
General Summary
After escaping the labyrinthine museum of Xorjaradu 'The Great Collector', the passengers of the former ship Song Byrd plot their way off the mystical island. The wizard sends his familiar to the skies to plot the surrounding regions, while on the ground the party secures a mode of transport. A group of weaker Kuo-Toa fisherfolk are found lounging on the beach and despite their attempts at escape, the party dispatches them and steals their boat. The airborne familiar returns with a mental outline of the region. The massive lake that sits in the center of the island like the iris of a great eye is cradled by a chain of small eastern mountains, streams coalesce in the hills to form lazy rivers which divide the landscape into many slivers. The party elects an eastward route avoiding the most of the Kuo-Toa in the lake, and deceiving those they did encounter with magic. At a naturally in-explainable, likely magically influenced fork in the river, the party chooses to veer south, after a long rest. The session comes to an end here.
