Session 0: Character Creation Report

General Summary

Characters were created:

The party, passengers and temporary crew-members of the good ship Song Byrd, are halfway through their 100 day journey to the faraway mining colony of Sigland, where the captain of the ship Johannes Friedrich will deliver an important package, pack his hull full of Manium and return to Vaulkland.   After taking part in some friendly betting and pugilism with their fellow lowlife shipmates, they retire to bed expecting another calm night, however they are surprised when they ship is attacked by watery elves. The enemies pour overboard wielding spears, and attempt to break their way into the quarters of the ships resident priesthood.   The party dispatches a great many of them, and the First Mate Esmeralda, before the leader of the raiding party hoists himself on board and damages the captain. The party struggles to combat him while two of his minions bust into the priests quarters. Struggle within and without ensues, but eventually the crew of the Song Byrd prevails, slaying all combatants. The Elven ships dissipate into the fog while the party questions the only survivor.   All that they could weasel out of the Elf is that they were after the stone (later revealed to be one of a pair of sending stones, by Captain Friedrich) within the box in order to spy on and disrupt the flow of information to the colony of Sigland. The party then does away with him.
