Session 7: Rebel Sea Scum Report

General Summary

The morning after their first successful recruitment, the party splits, as each group follows a different goal. Sesos, Ronn, and Krook all continue to the further Kuo-Toa villages, and in a similar fashion bring them into the fold. Kayrus elects to steal a boat from his hosts and seek healing on the mainland, for the damage to his gut that Ronn laid upon him when Kayrus slew his raven.   Kayrus first looks inside himself for answers, meditating on the glowing gem he wonders how it might be used. A fiendish voice deep within him tells him to sacrifice the gem in a hot fire and he will be healed. Kayrus tries to find healing elsewhere however. Summoning the Kobolds he asks for aid, but they have none. He asks if the dragon may yet have any, and they tell him to first finish the job the dragon sent him on. Boldly, Kayrus decided otherwise, and attempts to seek out the Sea Elf port to receive healing there, despite much information he has collected suggesting the Sea Elves will not be friends to him. He does not make it however, the Dragon Andronaxes spots him as he emerges from the mountains and questions him. Kayrus attempts to lie to the dragon, claiming that Syrik is dead and the party was traveling with his head as we speak. The dragon picks up Kayrus and brings him to his citadel to await the truth of this matter. While there, Kayrus's grievous wounds are tended to by Garrukk, until Kayrus decides to mention Krookk being on the island, Garrukk leaves him there immediately, healing only half complete..   On the south Island, three more tribes have been brought into the fold, the last two yet pose a small issue. The chief of one tribe refuses to be subordinate, and challenges the leaders to a duel. Ronn takes on this challenge and nobly ends the Kuo-Toa, granting his follower leadership of the tribe. In the next village, the leader reveals himself to be the Sea-Elf Syrik, disguised as a Kuo-Toa, Krookk could sense the dragonmark on him from a mile away. Syrik refuses to join as this assault preceeds his plans, he wants time to bring the other Sea Elves over to this cause. Ronn and Krook elect to leave him out.   As Andronaxes and Kayrus await the parties arrival, Andronaxes begins to sense he is being decieved. He brings Kayrus out before him and asks where the party is. Kayrus doubles down on his lie and moreso demands release of Andronaxes. Andronaxes decides to punish this puny humanoid, and bites off his sword arm.   The session ends.
