Session 64: Home sweet home Report
General Summary
With the sudden undead defeated, the knight would introduce himself as Cal'Brand Amadiel, and would request steel box about the size of the female revenant. As Bliss would set about to packing up the corpse, the Scales would discuss with Cal'Brand their goal with the new ritual. While he did not have much to offer that they had not already discovered in their travels he would wish them well, and in private offer to A'lar an alternative divine relic, a great weapon of Brahmarius so that Argeranth need not be extinguished. With that out of the way the Scales would debate the next relics that they should seek to gather for the ritual. The first was to treat with Clan Sparkle to see if their stone could be gained with little fus, but first, it was time for the First of Winters End and a great annual party at the First Steps.
The Festivites would start at noon and proceed until the wee hours of the morning. The First Steps were giving drinks at a high discount and all manner of performances from bands, to poetry, dancers, and everything in between would be performing non stop within the great tavern. A'lar himself not known to perform much himself would be giving regular shows all day long with a wide range of his talents from musical numbers to grand illusionary theatrical performances. All in all the Scales would enjoy this occasion, which seemed to be very well known within the district, eventually Adalon would ask the occasion was, to which A'lar would smile, "Its my Birthday party of course!" Ayrien would drink herself into a stupor through the night and limp home with Adalon. Ismaril would enjoy the party but eventually retire with her fiancé and their guard to finish off the night. Longwei would last till the wee hours of the morning seeming un phased by the copious amounts of alcohol and debauchery. Indalell and his date, the Princess of Moonfrost would drink heavily and partake heavily, waking up in a haze the next morning in some corner of the First Steps. A'lar too would wake in some portion of his establishment, looking about, it would take some time to clean this place up, but, it always did. He would get a large platter of bacon, eggs, and other foods to soak up his hangover while Indalell hurried the princess out before too many more would notice her and her current state.
The next several days would find the Scales beginning to pursue the various visions given to them at the Monastary of Fates End. Longwei would confront his brother and bring him to the Scales to discuss the future. Kamori would not seem very swayed by A'lar and Ismarils words, being given no hope or plan for what to do should their plan wake the dragons, or what to do when the dragons do wake to protect the people here now. As he would depart, A'lar would voice his concern to Longwei that his brother may be making a grave mistake soon. Indalell would visit his mentor Elim and seek what information he could from him concerning the visions imparted to him. Ismaril would also venture home to confront her father about the memories potentially blocked within her mind. The conversation would be tense but amicable as her father explained the blocking of the memories contained the nightmare creature as well ensured no one asked too many questions about the potential coup whic included dwarves harnessing psionic energy.
A'lar having spent a day recovering would next meet with the ambassador of Clan Sparkle, who offered him some delightful cupcakes with crystalin sprinkles. She would tell him the item in question was a sacred item to a band of naturalist dwarves who worshipped the Earth Spirits. She would offer that if perhaps their kin gained full citizenship within the sister clan of Starlight, that parting with such an item would be a fair price. Taking this and some cupcakes to the Starlight ambassador, Ismarils Father, a plan was hatched to remove the Speaker of the Stars who was responsible for the nightmare trapped within Ismaril, and to free the dwarves. "Wonderful a Coup after all!" A'lar would clap before finishing a cupcake.
