Session 29: Onward to Illidost Report
General Summary
Syrgus and the party accompanying him begin the return march to Illidost. The Third Son asks Xhaldarius the story regarding the judges and his own origins.
Orin speaks with Orin Eddenvas, who regales him with his story of time in Othos. Moreover, Orin tells Syrgus some information regarding Zarthum in Everos and the devastation within that land.
Syrgus speaks with Xhaldarius regarding the sisters. He expresses some apprehension. Xhaldarius explains the nature of the sister. Syrgus responds with questions about Zarthum, particularly his purpose as a puppet of Ácolitus.
Orin tells Syrgus about the involvement of Tarphry in the fight with Sinestra. This is a surprise to him. They also talk about Azidael and the connection between him and Syrgus. They speak further on the matter, including the return of the daughters.
Xhaldarius grants Syrgus an offer. He tells him how Ballisar desires safety for Cesstecia. For this, he will pay with his life if necessary. They inform Syrgus about the potential whereabouts of Cesstecia in Vallisia or Amastris, and other facts.
Syrgus wonders how such an eclectic group came together. They explain the story in brief. Orin mentions Tharsis. Syrgus points out the exchanges between him, the Greywall militia, and the Astorian garrison. They mention the arrival of Cravin and Xhaldarius. Orin discusses some experiences with the Etayen.
Blackwolf asks Syrgus what he knows about the Nith’eshan.
Syrgus asks Xhaldarius how he’ll approach the sisters. Xhaldarius wants to attack immediately. Syrgus desires to speak with them. The question arises of divided loyalties. Xhaldarius mentions the story of Ebisadra, and her eventual destruction.
Syrgus agrees to help Blackwolf with her desires in Demrazand. If that means peace for a part of Othos, it can benefit all of Othos.
