Session 20: Four Souls Departure Report

General Summary

Orin carries Calista to the Corgastorian ship, and they go aboard after calling out to the sentries. The men drop the gangplank and allow them aboard, the master, Ghelonastor as referenced before, approaches them with two attendants.

Ballisar and Cravinyol return to the Free Spirit, and see the members of the crew drinking and talking among one another in the winter night. They speak with Zilek Nassar'phes again, who tells them to search for medical supplies inside. He is clearly beyond himself and of little value otherwise. Ballisar searched for and discovered medical supplies. Cravinyol discovered a strange man named Beyerka of Loseya, who appeared to be an accountant for the ship? There was a basket of coinage on the table behind which he sat to prove the fact. Carvinyol asked for medical help, and the man offered him a sip of a strange liquor in a vial in exchange for a similar vial of anti-toxin. Cravin took a single sip and was thus deprived of all emotion and worries.

Back aboard the ship, Orin and Calista speak. They discuss opinions on the death of Sinestra, future plans, and their collective knowledge on the identity and properties of Syrgus. Calista explains, for the first time, that she is being considered for the role of Mother Earth in the Abat Artayin. Therefore, the conflict against Syrgus extends beyond personal survival. Ideally, the Atamani need to emerge dominant or well-off once the dust settles, lest they be relegated to tribal brigands again.

Orin and Calista travel to blast sight, and there see a collection of six figures.

Once on the boat and ready to travel, the party settles into the lower decks of the drifting vessel. They speak about the death of Azidael, which Ballisar admitted to committing. He spoke of his justification, chiefly about Azidael being a traitor. The others appear skeptical. However, nothing can be changed! As they talk, conversation drifts toward the manor and that memorable, dreadful battle. Ballisar argues that detonation of the manor was merely Sinestra, and not the assassins. Calista sharply disagrees, and argues that the daughters must possess more power. Back and forth they roar, increasing in anger as the events of the day pile upon them. The argument reaches a crescendo and Orin leaves the room and notices some crew members watching the room with bewilderment. Calista steps outside and slams the door behind her. All meaningful exchanges within the room thus ended.

Session ends with Ballisar using Vojûn to repair Calista’s bow. It works perfectly, but has a strange, Vojûnic influence upon its for aesthetic. Ballisar applies the same power to his sword with the same result.
