Session V : The Head Session Report
General Summary
The players start by talking to the decapitated head of Mikel, the Fiend of The Gorian Wastes, the one who in the previous session they'd chased across the rooftops and killed. Kai Sinu used his magics to animate the end and allow the characters to extract information about the plot at hand. Akivasha is coming, she will cause the undead to rise and has made an alliance with Lolth the spider queen of the underdark, and Yeenoghu. Together their alliance threatens to unleash destruction on all of the Amerielle. The commander is the Kettei-sha, the token that can be played to move a card from one side of the board to the other. That is why Akivasha wants his body. After finishing with the head, they agreed to help Kai-Sinu find the girl who was the reason that Kestario Langdon was put in prison. Her family, the Boredaux's live along the coast and most likely would know where she could be found. The judge believe that his friend, Reepacheep can help them find the girl as well as get to Lady Gray. As they begin their travel east, toward the sea Valoseyr Raptyr reveals a secret to them. He is not who he says he is, but an insurgent, a killer, a master of chaos. He is not the silver dragon he claimed to be, but instead a white dragon in disguise. However, as he's traveled with them he's decided to abandon his old mission and instead join them wholeheartedly. The players jump on their horses : Scout, Trigger, Roach, and Jivi (horse in Valoseyr.'s language) After two days of travel across the desert they come across a woman with a cart. Her husband is dead and the woman claims that Talia killed her husband or that there is some plot that involves the Thri-kreen and that if the Broken Telson does not inteveen the entire tribe will be destroyed. Kethra's sense of duty drove the party to divert temporarily to investigate the troubled tribe. They arrive at a series of yurts that are ruled by a young elf named, Talia Barataki. She implores them to help, as the Broken Telson they are called to support the tribes dealing with troubles. She tells them that the Thri-kreen have pushed them out of their home near the oasis and have left them with nothing. They will die if the Thri-kreen are not driven out. The players find the Thri-kreen in a cave near the oasis and a brood mother insides. Combat is quick and violent. The party rushes in ready to do battle. Several of the Thri-kreen leap to the sky and sling spears from the ceiling all while the brood mother launches acid towards the group as they navigate through the cave. One of the Thri-kreen is not like the others and after suffering immense damage his chitinous shell is shown to be pure gold. When Bul-Kathos strikes the broodmother he is splashed with black acid that burns his skin, nearly killing him but in the end the party is victorious and all the Thri-kreen are dispatched. The session ended with the players looting the area.
